Larry David was one of the main writers for Serinfeld and the character George was loosely based on Larry David.... Lary Charles who was also a writer for Seinfeld directed some of the funniest episodes on Curb and is one of the executive producers for the show... and recently directed the Borat film.

I had a Larry David moment a couple of months back. My department was having a birthday party for one of my co-workers and we had the food and birthday cake etc. When it was time to sing her happy birthday, I didn't want to. I feel like a complete idiota when I sing happy birthday. One of the co-workers caught me not singing and gave me this look, and right away I started lip-singing it so I wouldn't hear any crap about it.
