    Default Post your favourate......

albums that rarely get mentioned on this site.

This is the place where you post up the albums you believe deserve more shine, whether they be underrated or personal classics post them here.

I will start with my favourate group after Wu.......The Psycho Realm.

This duo comes with crazy wordplay and dark grimey beats.

Anybody who hasn't heard this is missing out on a serious part of hip-hop history. Dre called him the best rapper ever. I'm serious. Everybody should own this.

Dre, Snoop and Kurupt all admitted that The D.O.C. has Ghostwritten over 50% of the folowing albums: The Chronic, Doggy Style, over 3/4 of Snoop's album including The Blue Carpet Treatment, The Street Iz A Mutha, some DPG albums, and helped Pac with some of his lyrics..

I rate The D.O.C. as being on the same lyrical level as Rakim. Here's some of his best songs:

The DOC - Mind Blowin' (fucking crazy lyrics + beat)
The DOC - It's Funky Enough (y'all should know this. crazy lyrics)
The DOC - The DOC and The Doctor (chill beat, and, as always, quality lyrics)

don't forget to mention a little bit about the album, the point of the thread is to point people in new directions of what other dope artists are out there.

From the label that brought Cypress Hill and House of Pain.

Funkdoobiest, a very underrated group with three albums but their first two are their best, both feature production by DJ Muggs......personal classics for me.

the coup is incredible at their worst, and genocide and juice is the coup at their best. this was the last album they made before e-roc left the group (a real loss). anyone who's into political/afro-centric hiphop really needs to get this joint.

everlast doesn't get much respect as an MC (either because he's a white dude or because he's a singer/songwriter, i'm not sure) but he's got an ill flow and that sick deep voice. i first got this album when i was 12 and i still listen to it.

Easily one of my favourate groups with the most consistent body of work, they have four albums but these two are my favourates.

They have a great mixture of the NY sound with that Westcoast flavour with a hint of that latin lingo, the best way to descibe this groups sound is westcoast boom bap.......you tube their shit to see what I mean.

One of Madlibs best produced albums, this group album feature Madlib as mc/producer and mc Wildchild and a dj who's name I can't remember at the moment.

one of my favorites of all time. D.I.T.C got/gets mad slept on cause they dropped pre-illmatic on the east coast and this is my favorite album from them. Showbiz laces this whole album with crazy beats that you can dance to if you want or you can just chill out and let the jazz take you over. AG rips the tracks with a classic east coast rhyming style. A must have really, don't sleep.

I dont think i ever heard ANYBODY mention this album but its a very good release...this album made me realize why im rapping even knowing that my lyrical style of rap doesnt appeal to the mainstream

the title of the record says it all, sage francis gets real personal on this one and imo its a must have for rap fans of any kind. His poetic backgroubds really show here

Possibly the best concept cd i have heard in a long time each song ties into to theme of God and satan making jakki undergo task to see who will get him

Not nessecarily his best album but the only cover they had on amazon lol. ANY cd by k-rino is good he never dissapoints and not only is lyrical but comes with some of the best concepts. I would reccomend on picking up "time traveler", "ten year run", "worst rapper alive", and "no mercy"

another underrated classic that never gets mentioned
