You have the right idea about the 2 thread categories. But its just that those people that make "stupid threads" are just making more stupid threads than the people that make good ones. I have notice the people that can produce "good" threads are sitting back and looking at the stupidness cockeyed. That means it becomes inbalanced.

KTL wouldnt make that much of a difference. Usually when I see the person who makes the thread, I usually take it however the characteristics of the poster is. (If it is a know user). That means people should know if a thread is a serious type discussion or not. I guess some people fail to distinguish which ones are.
