I felt the production was amazing, easily one of Premo's bets ever sets but I felt the mc's really didn't deserve what they where given, their rhymes were really weak and at various points it almost sounds like they were just spittin off the top of the dome which for an album is never a good thing (unless you are odb).
They had the right vibe but they were just not very good, on the whole it is still a great album but it loses a lot of points because of the lyrics.

    Production 10/10
    Lyrics 4/10
    Overall 7/10

Very good album. Livin Proof, Inna Citi Life, Serious Rap Shit, 2 Thousand, Supa Star, Tha Realness songs are my favorite. Lil Dap and Melachi are decent mc's. I don't have a problem with their lyrics. I was so mad at their 2nd album A Tear For The Ghetto. Melachi didn't rap on that many songs on that album and the beats were terrible. They should've let Premier produce that whole album.

++. I remember listening to "Against the wall" a couple of nights ago and I relized how shitty some rhymes were. Like u said, album is dope production wise but lyric wise this isn't nothing special. If only Group home would've upped their vocab game a bit, this album would be a classic.

    8/10. Favorite track, 2 thousand

One of the more perfectly executed albums ever. Perfectly sequenced and expertly produced to hide the ridiculously low talent of the emcees. This was Premo's finest creation bar none. He managed to make a four mic album out of two garbage rappers, that's pretty impressive.

Good album, lyrics are kind of ABC'ish and simple, which makes it good with DJ Premiers produciton.

Classic. I thought they were decent MCs, nothing noteworthy, but bearable at least.

classic to the fullest, they weren't the best emcees, but they hold they own on a premo beat, which says alot, they weren't lyrical but they spoke on real shit

I remember when my brother had their Supa Star cassette single before the album came out and when i heard Supa Star, i said god damn. That song is banging. The beat is hard. The video was tight too.

Lyrically not the greatest, rather average, but beatwise its a banger.
