i slept on this album for the longest time, cuz i wasn't the biggest fan of Lil Dap. Melachi was always decent to me, but ever since i first heard Dap, i thought he sounded too much like the crackhead on "The PJs" (anyone remember that show? damn funny. too bad it didn't last long.) anyway, after i actually gave the album a chance, i felt that he gave a decent performance on this. one thing to note about these two MCs is that they were about 18 and 20 when they dropped this. for that age, they were definitely more advanced than a lot of other artists that i've known in that age range at least. some of Premo's best production on this album too.

"Suspended In Time" is probably my favorite track on this album. These are definetly some of Primo's best beats all on this CD. It did alot to disguise the sub-par lyrical abilities of Dap n Melachi..

i have been bumping this alot lately and damn what a fucking album it is, production and mixing is totally incredible. might be Premier's finest moment on wax ever and that's saying alot speaking on the man who's responsible for "Hard to Earn", "Sun Rises in the East" and all that good stuff.

Lil' Dap and Melachi is no pair of top-rappers but compared to what's hot in 2009 they easily get a pass. If it wasn't for them, this album would sound nothing like it does - the beats is obviously created around the stories and voices of these 2 kids, much like RZA provided a personal soundscape for all the early solo albums. i don't have a problem listening to these guys with this production to help them.

    9.5/10

Little Dap and Melachi The Nutcracker are stupid names hahahahahahaha. Props to them for sampling Inspectah Deck from Wu Tang Clan's Cream song when he said leave it up to me while I be living proof. Life as a shorty shouldn't be so rough. Props to them for sampling Prodigy of Mobb Deep from Shook Ones 2 song on The Realest song when he said the realest.
