    7/10, maybe 8/10

definately overrated album IMO, the beats are good, but never more than that

the lyrics are also good, but always the same stuff, ...
Shaolin shadowboxin' and the wu-tang swordstyle...
If what you say is true...
The shaolin and the wu-tang could be dangerous!
En garde, I'll let you try my wu-tang style...

I have really enjoyed this album, it's easily one of my favourates coming from BCC. Top Dog, Louieville Sluggah and Starang Wondah hold it down well on the mic, and I love the dark feel to the album all themed around a thunder storm.
If I was to critisize anything about this album it would be that a lot of the beats sound too similar. Even though I love the production I feel they should have switched it up a bit more.

    Lyrics 8/10
    Production 8/10
    Overall 8/10

easily the weakest of the first round of BCC albums, but still a banger nonetheless!!

commercial rap get the gun clap

starang is obviously the mvp. top dog is a waste of space imo...louieville is only ill because of his unique voice, but he definitely kills it on a few tracks

i, cock back relax and swing

the beats are all ill as shit, especially the madlib joint

favorite tracks: no fear, gunn clap, da storm, flappin

    7.5/10

I give it a 7/10, it's a good album but when compared to Nocturnal, Enta Da Stage & Dah Shinin' it was and still is my least listened to. Starang, Louisville and Top Dog have alot of character as MCs, which is one part of what makes The Storm a good listen to me.

The sound is very subdued, it's got that filtered, lo-fi Beatminerz sound to it but more so than the other 1st round BCC albums. It isn't as hard hitting/intense in the production sound, the other BCC albums had my head nodding more than The Storm.

My favorite song is Hurricane Starang feat. Rock, the video is dope too

I haven't heard this album in awhile. I'm gonna have to listen to it again. No Fear is my favorite song on there. I was very disappointed in their last album. I wanted to hear more albums from them.

Fucking classic. To be honest, I almost like it more than Nocturnal. Dah Shinin is still my favorite from the first go round of BCC albums, but Da Storm was fuckin fire. One of the grimiest albums ever.

it's a real dope album, continuing in the tradition of the three previous BCC solo's with headbanging Da Beatminerz productions and spiked punchlines, witty lyrics, attacks on sucker MC's and NY representation.

the trio on here doesn't have the same lyrical skills as Buckshot, Tek N Steele or Heltah Skeltah but they got charisma and their chemistry works well. Da Beatminerz does a great job backing them up with heavy beats, it's ill how they make it a concept with the thunder storm coming and emergency broadcast skits, etc. there's something about the beats on here that really makes it perfect for a real rainy, stormy day. it got that moody, more laid-back feel than previous BCC solo's - this was OGC's chamber.

top 5 joints - "Hurricane Starang", "Wild Cowboys in Bucktown", "God Don't Like Ugly", "Da Storm" and "No Fear"

    4.2/5

it's raining outside today and i'm just chilling at home taking the time to listen to all the early Boot Camp joints with Da Beatminerz. really great strike of albums, headnodding shit to the fullest. if there would've been one thing i could've changed about hip-hop in the '90s it might very well have been to have BCC not breaking up with Da Beatminerz and letting them produce at least 70% of their first group album, "For The People". that would've been the icing on the fucking cake lol
