outwardly well-mannered and placid
no words lashed with the acid-tongue,
left for dead...as multiple stab wounds puncture lungs

expected to clamber down rungs of the social ladder? WHY?
'cause the elite middle class are too scared and weak bladdered,
long for the day, when that 2 dimensional world falls into decay,
and disarray...they...
indifferently minimising my struggle, can then openly puzzle
at how a man so young, could juggle a family,
with 2 kids and a decent job, as if its odd,
there are Maori that dont have to rob, cheat,
or kill in cold-blood on the street...
sickened by stereotypes and media hype
ain' nothing but delusional dreams borne in glass pipes
now my thoughts are ripe, so I'll lyrically snipe at the flawed logic

this railroad will travel the path of least resistance,
going the distance, and at every instance, when you tread upon me
I shall not choose flight, to the shadowy criminal underbelly of night
will passively resist my deepest urges, and fight...
armed with heartfelt belief in the word that I write,
to document my most personal, perpetual plight
and rage...against the dying of the light...

anyone with sense, knows one tenth of a nation,
should'nt control 90% of an entire population,
I listen to the observations, of souls in incarceration
their insights, tackle REAL questions of wrong and right!
which need to be dragged out and be openly discussed in daylight,
like...why are we fillin' the jails? failin' in education?
subjected to destitute downtalk and cultural decimation?
the only way for me to cope...is the waking dream of hope...

long have we denied, the innate ability to be wrong
to unify mankind, and move to rhythm of one song
the names of those who walk on water,
still justify slaughter of sons & rape of daughters
we oughta look further ahead, not sleep in this burning bed...
instead, conceive a unified body, equal so all can sense,
a real & visible difference from individuals can be expected
only then can the errors of this inhumane, monstrosity be corrected
lest your colony be stormed by revolutionary waves of the disaffected...

Whatup EF? Glad you bumped this thread, because it reminded me to finally read the latter parts of it, like I've been meaning to do for so fucken long. I even have it on a list of shit to do at home, haha. That's no bullshit either.

Anyway, it was a breath of fresh air to see some of this in here. You're obviously good with words. You know how to use them. Your pieces are always well worth reading. There's a lot in them. It's not just read a line and move on to the next. I appreciate your way of wording things, and how you put thoughts together. I'm glad I finally took the time to catch up with this thread. unsung songs of sullen sons from the mouth of the prolific...
horrific, wounds in our communities are shamelessly afflicted,
living hand to mouth on gov't cheques will keep our hope restricted
addicted, to fast living in styles of 2 dimensional idols,
clappers allow only tunnel vision, grey cells torn by intangible bridles
homicidal...we strike our own without a moments hesitation
after centuries of being colonised, in this melting pot plantation...

blood of children on our hands, a crude and painful cross to bear,
searing rage pointed at loved ones, angels fallen in despair
I care, that justice in this land is never seen & rarely heard
blurrin' vision, third world livin', search for meaning with my words
anger fills the eyes of mourners in the funeral processions
parasites & child murderers with court-ruled name suppression!?
close to home... these stories have revealed a private shame
I'm inflamed... some of the guilty parties hold my family name

who's to blame? for all this suffering and poverty of mind?
thought reverberates within me 'til it spews out in these lines
crimes of ignorance and laziness have no external source,
force ourselves to educate, empowering the proper course
hoarse cries echo from my belly as I prepare to face my maker
a drunken Judas killed my mule, dreaming of life on 40 acres
takin' life in just an instant, pray for future of my seeds
dying for principle I've lived for, man's responsibilities

Great piece EF. Makes checking out this place worthwile. This one read more like a concious rap than your previous more poetic based work. Still definately very poetic, but the even-ness of the bars made it flow like a rap. Keep up the good work.

I actually haven’t written anything since I finished writing the tracks for an album I’m doing, a couple of months ago. Until then I was writing constantly. I just haven’t really felt like writing anything since then. I just write some mock freestyles now and then.

Yeah, this piece sounded pretty real. It’s good to see somebody writing about shit that’s true to them. Always comes off a lot better than people re-using typical hip hop topics.
