the difference between bsu and lets say a team like Ohio state is the teams thy play while bsu plays a lot of cake walk teas Ohio state plays good to great teams yes I know any team can beat any team but I rather see two 1 lose teams who played the best teams that year play for the title rather than a team who played easy teams. the bcs and NCAA love this because people will say "see that's why we need a playoff" and it gets people talking about college football. everyone knows a playoff is never going to happen its all about money and too much would be lost

They don't get props because a tough road game for them is Hawaii. They also didn't challenge any school to a game, they demanded more money than anyone would pay them.
The fact is they have won a shitload of games against barely division one teams, and the one win against Oklahoma. Sorry if that isn't impressive to fans of teams that have to play more than one ranked team every season.
Since yo udidn't take the 30 seconds it would take to look up BSU's record past last year, I doubt you will, but go ahead and look at their record vs BCS conference teams.

No, Utah was offered and accepted. BSU wasn't really considered. Outside of Football, which is arguable once they have to play more than one quality team a year, they have little to offer the Pacific-10.

The difference is that Boise will play one tough game all year and Alabama will have to go through a tough SEC schedule.
If Boise has to go through the SEC or Big Ten or Big 12, they would probably lose one or 2 conference games in each of those conferences. AT LEAST.

Well until Boise State gets in a real conference, they will face this.
in the SEC they'd have to play Florida, Alabama, LSU, Arkansas.....
in the Big Ten Ohio State, Wisconsin, Michigan, Iowa, Penn State, Nebraska(next year)...
Big 12 Oklahoma, Texas, Nebraska
not to mention the lesser teams and the mid level teams that still have alot of talent and could upset Boise on any given week.
Sure Boise can coast into the BCS and win a surprise BCS bowl game, but looking at their team and the lack of depth, they could not go through on eof hte power conferences unscathed.
The fact is they wouldnt be in the BCS if it wasnt for their weak schedule.
