Stickies....
With all due respect, but you guys really have too much stickies hanging around. It makes nice when you keep it up to like 3 stickies on a part of the forum. On the internet the meaning of less is more is oten under appreciated. And now forums just tend to flood up with stickies now.
Keep it tight, keep it clean. Three stickies, I am not trying to be mean.

I agree....once in a while a go through all the forums and unstick the unneeded ones. Sometimes if there are recent replies in them I will keep them stuck.

jet set is right. there's no reason to sticky popular threads like the ones that are stickied in general chat (post your favorite whatever threads, etc).
and why not they are always being merged with one post threads and the like.
Imagine atleast 5 threads a day being merged to stickies without that sticky alot of other threads will be pushed pages back, and we all know no one uses the search feature.

Sorry had to make that comment. On topic, I can see your problem. So if I understand clearly they are stickied on behalf of being mergers, and not being most popular or 'important', in another sense than we are competing for.
One would almost say that those stickies could deserve their own sub forum. If for one you are the only one to merge threads, I could say that it is not necessary to sticky the threads only for the ease of the mod. It's double, threads are being merged and the search option is not being used. Though the stated arguments are tough, I can't lose face like a Japanese weirdo, so I say:
'Entia non sunt praeter necessitatem multiplicanda'.

But on the other hand there is no good way to "organize" general chat.

I see what you sayin Jet. I agree with keeping it around three cause in a way it would force peeps to use the search feature more. But at the same time I do like Prof and keep around the ones that get replies in them. But some I just feel have run their course and need to be unstuck. Speaking of which... Say bye bye to the AA sticky!
