People need to stop kidding themselves. Yes promotion maybe a point but the reality of it is that the members probably have more of a problem with how people on here seem to have a lack of basic skill to post constructive criticism. LDS followed by fat jokes and Hillside Scramblers followed by apparent sightings of U-God working in McDonalds and people have the fucking nerve to call themselves fans.

The people on here that don't know how to criticise constructively without insulting other posters or the artist should either fuck off or try learning that opinions do not equal facts.

Sorry to see you go Gee. I remember reading your first threads here, and encouraged you to get back into promoting, couple months later you were back in the hot air. But I'll keep seeing you on MySpace.

On another subject, except for what Shaolin Darts talked about, I think it's very unjustified for the generals to hate on the Corp for not promoting enough and lack of coverage. They have a responsibility in this too, not only the heads of the site. I doubt that 36Chambers ever rejected doing an interview with anyone about an upcoming release or whatever. The heads of this site don't do enough to bring exclusive news/interviews and whatever, but they are only one part of the whole. If the artist wants coverage here, they will have it. But it seems they don't giva a flying fuck about their official site.

to be honest, i highly doubt the members of the wu were looking to chill in the wu tang chamber. If they want respect for their work, well we are on their website. We're the audience not their teachers, it's not our job to give constructive criticism. If the members cant accept their fans not dickriding everything and can't take a joke, then that sounds like a personal problem of theirs.

I've really got to make this point - I've been a member here since 2002 when Jordeh ran the site and he always tried to get interviews/exclusives and shit like that. We had 5 page interviews with RZA and Tekitha, smaller but still cool interviews with RZA's engineer Choco and we got tracks from Masta Killa when the hype for No Said Date began. Anyone else remember when snippets of Old Man and No Said Date came out on the old Wu-Tang Corp exclusively? Right now we've had nothing for nearly a year. We haven't had any interviews since the site re-opened and the news is mostly just regurgitated from other sites.

I don't know why G has decided to leave and I don't particularly care, but he raises an interestint point about the site. Apart from Cilvaringz, it looks like not the slightest bit of effort has been made to get exclusive tracks or interviews. Wutangworld had exclusives every other week, for god's sake. And interviews with Clan/Fam.

I'm not saying it's WuTangCorp's fault though. How the fuck do these rappers/musicians in Wu-Tang expect us to catch word of their music? This site is perfect as a launching point for hype. Your music won't sell itself, put in some goddamn effort. Get in contact with the moderators for interviews or tracks.

Either way, everyone involved in this site needs to take a page from dubcnn, who have new songs/interviews every other week because of both the site owners and the rappers themselves, who understand the benefits of reaching out. Look at Bishop Lamont, he's getting mad hype right now, in part thanks to dubcnn highlighting his work for the past 6 months.

If the owners of this site and everyone they're trying to help out put in some effort together, things would be better.

i don't really care much for interviews & exclusive tracks or the mods aren't getting the latest news because evrything i need to know i get from the threads from other wu-tang fans from the site & even though i don't always agree with them i'm glad that they say what's on their mind
there is no better site for wu-tang than the corp
i don't want wu-tang members here this is for the fans not for them
maybe on rare occasions but not often if they should stick out it would be nice to know atleast a week in advance so we can act more civilised when they here for that brief period

I don't want them to post on the forum because I don't really want to personally get to know any of them. For me it's about the music, but they can get a lot from this site if they offered to give even so much as an interview on the main page. Or if they gave a track or two to be posted. That's how you get fans, that's how you keep fans and that's how you get good feedback.

Its not about dickriding their work or them chilling on here. The whole point is that people involved in the members work feel uncomfortable here as do alot of fans.

The point of constructive criticism here is not to teach them. It is to criticise their work while maintaining some integrity. Calling Rae fat or saying U-God isn't really an insult to Rae or U-God but more an insult to the intelligence of the poster. Well thats how I see it anyway. The poster could have just pointed out why they didn't like it rather than being a groupie and taking the artists work so personally.

This isn't really an 'Official Wu' site. If it was we would have tons of merchandise trying to be sold through the site and real regular updates. But on the other hand this is probably as close to official it gets and the truth is people have run out of stuff to say. Instead of slowing down the post traffic on here people are reverting now to spam. I'm not suprised G doesn't want to affiliate with this site.

Not really. I'm just browse through here most of the time and don't bother posting. I'm not really a fan of the Corp or any other Wu Tang site as they are full of the same old and never actually deliver much news.
