    Default Wisemen Approaching---lyrics interpretation..

any questions and comments about lyrics to songs from the Wisemen Approaching album can be posted here....

ill start off with a few...

trying to figure the meaning off this line in Blinded...

"when my backbone gone say peace to the ammo, i love you.."

    from Goblins:
"somethin strange in the courtroom, veins (?) is my fortune, im from a place where the avenues are scoarchin.."

and my favorite verse on the whole album, Bronze's on Wisemen Approaching (the track) has a few things in there that i wasnt able to decipher....ill type the full thing...

"i blow nicely like Ron Isley, word dice we roll, mouse n men behold
ice grill on my 86 slice the pie slightly
flee or fight me, end up floatin up Bightlee (???)
i scope n deliver rhyme program charismo
drown u in a sea of nickels sip a 5th slow..
crash around the main bench straight no chaser
silencer on the micstand skope no laser
my bitches stay in heels tied up around the calf sheels (???)
live in movie reels, exquisite ruby hills
dance (??) in field of dreams dirty as Bronson

head filled wit more schemes than snakes in the garden
i tippy-toe like samurai slit a throat on standby
interview in fields wit landmines perform live durin outbreaks
    ebola virus outline the mic-case
paint scripts flee (??) faster than swimmin from sharks..
im known for spinnin darts towards ya melanin in dark
stoppin in at #1 without a shotgun
maybe platinum or just Bronze im out 1"

i coodnt interpret some stuff on there and alot of just flew over my head but i friggin love it....

Bronze, if u could clear some shit up to make it clearer it would be GREATLY appreciated...

    Default Wisemen Lyrics

KEVLAAR 7: INTRODUCING (NO MATTER HOW)

Introducing a Wiseman, I rise seven flights
Above life, civilize the mic, in my a-alikes is I write
Breath life inside the dead, ran the chizzel, word, disturb visions(???)
Got me grasping prison bars, and flipping birds, if I get caught
My seeds'll be fatherless, I run wild through the gauntlets
And flaunt shit, my brothers die for a while in diamond caves
Raised with Stevie Wonder, thunder claps when I wear shades
I saw heaven, shine in my iris, for seven nights and seven days
Amazing scenes from my heart, is unseen, believe a nigga like me
Can't live for the CREAM, it's a dream, I'm Ray Robinson(???)
My hemoglobin force me, to watch my niggas die horribly
I'm here to ressurect, if you feeling me, take a walk with a nigga

Question: Kevlaar, what inspired this verse, and what is your connection with Stevie wonder and ray Robinson? isn't that Ray Charles?

    KEVLAAR 7: FOUNDER OF PAIN

In stages hunger comes faceless, Purple Haze
One miss step my pagers(???) aimless, I die ageless
The movement need a facelift in these days when
Death is where the days went and life climbs from the basement

Please just elaborate. this shit is almost a flawless hook; the kind of hook that is everlasting.

    SALUTE: UP THERE BEYOND-

It's a small town, but a big rep to hold up
    Fuck a book, I wanna be a G when I grow up
Screws is lose, hustle leave it harder for juice
Got the future like the past, cuz they poison the youth
Marijuana selling, on the streets like cookies
Franchise teams, being lead by rookies
Hear it in the sky, it's him overlooking
So we stuck in the game, like at birth with a name
With a picture full of crack, in a positive frame(???)
Partners with terror, living in a gooned out era
Seeing death, more common than the face in the mirror
Tears of shame, murder raps, caught for change
Rest in peace, to Stone Red, for the born'll get slain(???)

This verse is so visual; a picture full of crack in a positive frame is some REAL shit. GOT damn. I don't know if i've heard a more visual verse this year; FUCK

    PHILLIE: WISEMEN APPROACHING-

Your rap kinds is bygones, so long to pretending
Return of the gutter and grit, the streets have been thirsting for this
Since Re-Birth of a Prince, back to
Niggas who spit, darts that shatter bricks
Grimey as a park bench, built in a cement

These few lines capture the whole album's feel. Grimey, street shit that hits hard and leaves behind a lasting impression.

    KEVLAAR 7: WISEMEN APPROACHING-

Invade a brother mind, and resurrect, the records crackle
My derelict speech, at the speed of a statue
My face don't move, my words, they show and prove
Disect the earth plates, and exhale a sandstorm
Transform and crash with impacts of 9/11
7 Kevlaar, God, me or the reverend(???)

This might be the craziest ending to a verse on the album. kevlaar 7 can you elaborate on this if you got time?

I got more just don't want to bombard the thread. like i said this album is lyrically superior.

He might say "say peace to the admiral". In the second verse he says peace to the sergeant.

He also mentions both Think Differently and Babygrande in the lyrics in content, a'la GZA's Labels.

    Default the breakdown

    SILENCER

"when my backbone gone say peace to the ammo, i love you.."
"when my backbone gone say peace to the admiral, i love you"

by backbone I mean my support and my strength, the woman
also they say behind every strong man is a strong woman
when I mention admiral or seargant (as in 2nd verse) I just mean a man of experience, someone who's earned his, so thats a colorful way to say I was her strength to as her man...

    from Up There Beyond:
"somethin strange in the courtroom, veins (?) is my fortune, im from a place where the avenues are scoarchin.."
this I was being visual, trying to explian the feeling in the courtroom, when I say veins is my fortune, I mean my past (my family actually have traced our roots back to realtives on a slave plantation in VA) such as chains, or captivity, was in my blood (veins). So by that line I mean my past is the same as my future, -- jailtime

and my favorite verse on the whole album, Bronze's on Wisemen Approaching (the track) has a few things in there that i wasnt able to decipher....ill type the full thing...

    Corrected verse and explanations:

I'm blowed nicely like Ron Isley,
word dice we roll, mice or men behold
ice grill on my 86 slice the pie slightly
flee or fight me, end up floatin up Bitely (Bitely, Michigan - place up north in Michigan with deep woods, and lakes)
i scope n deliver rhyme quote Gran Turismo
drown u in a sea of nickels sip a 5th slow..
crash around the main bend straight no chaser
silencer on the mic stand scope no laser
my bitches stay in heels tied up around the calf shields (meaning the legs in the calf area, you know the shoes that tie up all around the leg)
live in movie reels, exquisite ruby heels
Ganz a field of dreams dirty as Bronson (Ganz is slang for a potent weed in Detroit, Im saying my dream is to have whole field full)
head filled wit more schemes than snakes in the garden
i tippy-toe like samurai slit a throat on standby
interview in fields wit landmines perform live durin outbreaks
    ebola virus outline the mic-case
pace gracefully faster than swimmin from sharks..
im known for spinnin darts towards ya melanin in dark
stoppin in at #1 without a shotgun
maybe platinum or just Bronze im out 1"

if you got more just throw it up...peace

    Default Peace

PEACE and much appreciation to all for the love and support. We make our music straight from the heart, and it's good to see that ya'll see that.

First off for THENEWMOSES; Introducing was the first track we ever recorded for the Wisemen album. Me, Bronze and Phillie heard the beat and was like OH SHIT; this is the one. So we all started writing to it and came with a little concept. That verse is straight from my heart and basically what i was going thru and experiencing at that time. Trying to give ya'll some Jewels to live by knamean; The Stevie Wonder and Ray Charles thing represents the fact that we ALL blind at points in our life, but we can overcome that. Plus my pops listened to ALOT of Stevie when we was growing up. Thats my favorite nigga, word.

    Ya'll got the hook to Founder of pain wrong so imma make the corrections;

    In stages/ hunger comes faceless/ Purple Haze/
One misstep my page is aimless/ I'll die ageless/
The movement need a facelift/ in these days when/
Death is where the days went/ and life climbs from the basement...

There it is; this started off as me and Salute doing a joint together. i started writing my verse and when i stopped i was like, OH shit; this is the hook right here! the song was gonna be more elaborate and me and Bronze had a CRAZY song structure set up for that shit. But Salute came and ended that shit with his verse and that was all it needed.

    Basically my verse on Wisemen approaching is a visual of how hip hop can come back to that raw shit; by invading a brutha's mind, knamean? The last line basically means that anything that goes on in my life is BETWEEN me and God. you know the number 7 is the God number; 7 Kevlaar God; my name between 7 and the name God; knamean;

SILENCER; thanks for the props on Mixture of Muhhamad; that was originally a beat i picked for my album and it was supposed to appear on my solo joint. Luckily i got to rock that beat because Ghost originally wanted that beat but never did anything with it. I just went in and wrote and shit was just flowing off the dome for me on that shit. Niggas gonna have to do some studying to catch all the jewels off that joint. Hit me if you want to know anything else about that joint.

Appreciate the questions, hit me if it's more. Imma see if Salute and Phillie can get on here and answer they questions. PEACE! 1

    from Introducing
"casket stain on hands plaster the halls of famous lands
just like smog inside the lungs cramp.."

casket stains on hands - I been a pallbearer too many times you know?
plaster the halls of famous lands - Just saying I wanna travel see shit and leave my mark

this ties in with the next line:

just like smog inside the lungs (really meaning smoke) cramped
    monthly flows I unveil...

I meant my lungs had so much smoke they were cramped full, but also tied cramped in by saying monthly flows (you know how women get they period once a month, and have cramps from it) and monthly flows also means I got verses of the month and shit...

    Welcome Home (crazy track)
"my mathematical science is: sea alliance off the highest bridge
    iodine, triple beam balances.."

my mathematical sciences See/Sea alliance off the highest bridge - I tied that sea and bridge together olike an bridge over the water, and the see off the highest bridge together, like if you can look down off the highest bridge you can see everything so thas what I meant there.
iodine, triple beam balances - thas drug talk but Im just saying my rhmyes is dope

    Honors Promise:
"i was conceived in a foxhole plenty of wolves, alligator on my chest see my face in the moon..."
dope imagery, sounds like a fuckin old fable or somethin...still tryin to wrap my brain around it...
yeah thas just some imagery, saying I was born in wild times, people will remember the shirt with tha alligator on the chest, we had that when we was young but I also meant, that it was a fight like a real gator on my chest type shit the ultimate struggle
