for me a rapper has to write at least 75 percent of his or her material
this doesnt fit everyone's criteria of a great rapper.
i ask this question because my young cousin said that little wayne is the best rapper out right now and i said does he write his own material
i dont know the answer to that question and my cousin didnt know either
but is this important to yall

I hate rappers like Jada Kiss who has all of the above, except his flow, always the same, but rappers like Big Pun were riding beats and switching up the flows, that's how I feel, that's how I do things too though, I ride beats, I just don't write my verse and then spit it, I have to let the beat and the lyrics become 1!

Good rapper? A good rapper rhymes about bling and dancing in the club, drinking henessy, and what car he's in.

A Good MC rhymes about shit they feel. you can tell when someone feels rhymes, an MC needs to mean what he says. Vocabulary, dont rhyme Jay-Z style "cash" with "cash", flow, wordplay, and writes all his own lyrics.
