Cilvaringz- "I" album review
(just want to point out that this is a review of the Japanese version...i understand that the US version MIGHT be a little different sounding..)
first off, i really like the album artwork and design and stuff on this version...the cover is the one that used to be on the Corp front page wit Cilva holdin a sword across...and i really like the art on the back and on a few pages in the booklet, its like that pastel kinda painting of the desert and red sky..looks dope...
and i like the Cilvaringz sign and symbol (seen at the top right of this page)....the one with the star and half-moon is very cool....
now, onto the album...

love this shit....little skit from (i believe) 8-Diagram Pole Fighter...great opening

Wu-Tang Martial Expert feat Rza
intro cuts right into this....
we're all pretty familiar with this one i assume...really dissappointing that Rza don't spit a verse (i was really dyin to hear him spit on this beat) he just yells shit in between Cilva's verses...
beat is ill i always loved this....Cilva is ehh on the mic here...flows pretty tight but lyrics are kinda weak

fuckin LOVE this joint...beat is so fuckin ill and triumphant...shit gets me hyped..
everything sounds so good on here, the mastering is perfect....very clean sounding....not impressed wit Cilva's spittin on here and his flow kind of annoys me (alot of that on this album I thought)
Raekwon fuckin SLAUGHTERS it....he murks this track for reall.....makes me believe OB4CL2 could be some amazing classic-ness
also, it lists Ghost but he just says some shit in the beginning and end....its blatant false advertising to list Rza here, he does the beat but i dont think he says anything....maybe some yelling in the beginning....not cool but still:

definitely not the greatest love story ever told....beat is cool, i like the saxophone sound at the tail end of the beat...
starts off with a phone message from a girl and then breaks into the song..
okay, as i said the beat is cool but i'm not really likin Cilva's rappin on here...nothin too special, sounds kinda forced too..its a love song it should just be comin out from the heart..
i fuckin HATE the guy sayin "i love you" on the chorus..annoys me for some reason...and Cilva raps the All I Need chorus except he don't say "u got the good power-U"

i'm gonna have alot to say about this....not all right now but definitely in the future...
when i first heard the accapella live version of this on this site i was struck by it like wow that shit is deep and straight from the heart...like i was totally feelin the whole thing
on here it seems really forced...
in the beginning its supposed to make u feel like you are in Arabia and Cilva is sayin some crap about it....(i dont get the Arabia stuff..thought he was from Morocco and chills in Netherlands sometimes)
but what really bothers me now about this is that its just totally un-informed....9/11 was an inside job dude, do the fuckin knowledge....most ppl around the globe (except in US) are seeming to get it now...and Osama aint "fightin" the US, he's been a CIA guy since the 80s....once again, do the knowledge...me and Eric Unseen been postin plenty of stuff about this in KTL
all the stuff about hatin on Bush is just like unnecessary...the guy is a complete fuckin idiot but hes not controlling or really doin anything...hes just the poor dumb-fuck who's gotta try and explain and justify and lie about this stuff (totally un-eloquently) to the public...if u think that hes the one responsible for all this shit then u really need to open up a book (not that Gnome Chomsky shit either, check the true intellects dude [Nafeez Ahmed, Webster Tarpley, Peter Dale Scott, David Ray Griffin, Steven Jones especially])

Meth shouldn't be listed here cuz he only talks (and i can't imagine him fitting in well on this song anyways) and Shabazz is only on the hook which is a dissappointment...
this song is fuckin ILL tho i must say...beat is amazing, Masta calmly rips it, Rza spits pretty nicely and Killah Priest fuckin murders everything...dude is too poetic and artistic..
i'll be honest here, Cilva stinks on here im sorry...his flow is just bored-sounding and i'm not feelin his lyrics especially the last line about how the Qur'an says Jesus wasnt killed by the Romans and so the Bible cant be trusted.....gee, thanks for the insight...a little small-minded to say the least....
the Bible can't be "trusted" for many reasons, first of which is because its not a fuckin history textbook...
beat carries on for a while afterwards, maybe somebody else cooda jumped on here but its still fire..

maybe my favorite joint on here...i really like Cilva's rappin on here and the beat suits the song well i feel...
when the beat flips and Gza spits its all over..beat is flames and Gza just drops pure jewel-ness on only like 6 bars.....very tight song

funny cuz when i first heard the live version of this on this site i loved the beat....simple little ill guitar flippin on SICK drums....and then i find out its a Bronze beat and its like no surprise..
dont really like the lyrics or flow here....the flow is like the kinda flow u hear at a concert, just like yelling and a shitload of punches.....and its hard to get what the hell is being spoken about in the song because its like inside stuff that we know nothing about...
AND it occurred to me today that if theres this kinda bullshit beef within the killa bee camp then thats a problem.....we don't need this kinda corny shit (Cilva called Remedy a "zionist" in a post here recently....we dont need that kinda fuckin shit dude...enough bullshit goin on around the world, how about payin attention to Gza's words in the previous song)

this song is actually not too bad....not bad at all actually..i mean the content is kinda corny and not very Wu-like but i must say this:
-the beat is flames
-Cilva flows nicely on here
-he's spittin some good shit..makin good points and its a heartfelt song
i'm not really an MJ fan (not a hater tho really) but this song aint too bad at all...i thought it would suck
i skip it sometimes when im listenin to the album but its just cuz im not in the mood to hear about Michael Jackson...but its a well-done song

incredible 4th Disciple beat here, slow with some violin, piano and a little guitar....i like this song alot, Cilva speakin on some good points how all these celebrities are just phonies....he holds it down on these solo songs for sure...this might be his best flow on the album...
i didn't like girl singing on it at first listen but im gettin used to it...

the fuckin faggy idiot singin the chorus had me so mad when i first heard this it almost ruined the whole album for me....sounds like some corny folk singer or somethin...i hate him
beat is the same as Epic of Bitter Triumph but a different (and better) lyrics...
some seemingly controversial stuff here as hes speakin out against the 5% nation (even tho some of his features, at the very least, used to be 5ers)
i really can't get over this guy on the chorus though he just kills the song for me, i always have to skip it....hes just so gay-sounding

Overall i give it a 4/5
pretty much every beat is fuckin great but there's a couple things that annoy me about this album: Cilva's flow is whack sometimes, i don't like some of the singing (theres alot of it) on here it gets annoying when ur trying to hear some hard Wu shit, the listed guys not spitting verses (im talking about Ghost, Rza, Meth)............AND what is evident upon first listen is that there is no consistent mood or feeling throughout the album.....it starts off with the 8 Diagrams sample and its so tight and ur expecting some Shaolin Wu shit all throughout the album but then u got those 2 dumb skits then the cell phone messages and stuff (not to mention the Death to America thing which is just corny i think)...and then it cuts out with another dope Wu kung-fu sample...
i'll say this though...i think when the full version comes out with the DVD and all that this will be like a 10/10 must-have Wu package...but the album itself has some flaws
