Boyz in the Hood is a classic, but my absolute favourite hood flick is Paid In Full. I've watched that movie dozens of times; over and over and over again. I'm surprised I haven't melted the DVD yet.

I picked this up cheap recently, it's a pretty decent flick set in new york with Laurence Fishburne, he plays a latino in this.
