    Yeah no doubt, I definitely take pride in having a diverse taste in music.

    And ben, I'm looking forward to checking out that album you're talking about. I love reconstructions of songs in different genres than the original (except for possibly Phish's interpretation of Gin & Juice - that shit is just silly).

    back to coltrane- "a love supreme" is an album that you should BUY, read the liner notes, THEN play the entire cd. 3 tracks=about 35-40 minutes. it is an extremely spiritual record. other goodies are "soultrane" and "black pearls".

    I also have this CD called "Beach something??" its a band that does covers of hip hop and R n B songs with a Jazz fusion to it they all play live instruments...for exambple they do "Check the Rhime", " P.I.M.P" with out the lyrics off course but the live music and singers make the music...

    yeah i'm a jazz lover as well...classic, big band, contemporary, blues, you name it...i cant get enough of jazz. i actually just picked up a coltrane greatest hits album...
