    i always see Kurt Vonnegut lives written on chalk boards at school but have not yet read him. I need to read his stuff.

    Well, gotta warn you, it's a VERY HARD READ. It's long, half of it is in french with captions and you may find it dissapointing. I would recommend reading Crime & Punishment by Dostoyevsky first, and see if u like that. If you do, you might like and enjoy War & Peace

    yea...i've read Rise and Fall of the Third Reich by WIlliam Shirer, and that was like 1,400 pages so.
    I'll take your advice. THe French part, is it translated anywhere???

    Yeah, the French part is translated. By "dissapointed" I mean a lot of my friends actually read it from start to finish only to find out that they didn't like it. And it's very different from the Western novels
