    Default (Auto)biographies

This is a thread to recommend and discuss (auto)biographies. A few that I have read (all autobiographies) and would highly recommend are...

How To Make Love Like a Pornstar - Jenna Jameson
    Monster - Sanyika Shakur (Crip)
H: Autobiography of a Child Prostitute and Heroin Addict - Christiane F.

Also, if you're intrigued by or interested in serial killers, these are the best biographies I have read in that field. All highly recommended...

The Stranger Beside Me - Ann Rule (Ted Bundy)
A Venom In The Blood - Eric Van Hoffman (Gerald and Charlene Gallego)
Deranged: The Shocking True Story of America's Most Fiendish Killer! - Harold Schechter (Albert Fish)

I enjoyed it thoroughly. It's shocking to read about how fucked up that gang violence is. How those people go around killing each other just like that. It's kinda like "hey I'm bored. I think I'll go and murder some members of a rival gang". Senseless shit. It's a shame that Shakur went from one messed up path to another. That it took filling his head with mindless afrocentric bullshit to get him out of his violent lifestyle. He went from living a life of violence, murder and death to being a brainwashed, gullible, easily influenced, misled afrocentrist. Still, I guess he's better off following that path than involving himself in gang violence.

    Great read though.

Cold as Ice - Eldridge Cleaver. One of my favorites, Eldridge is a founding member of the Black Panther Party, and wrote this book in prison
Soon to Be A Major Motion Picture - Abbie Hoffman

AH monster, I got that book from a guy who lived in LA for some time. it gave a clear vision of the shit that went down. and that stuff wasnt nice. Some crazy stuff.

The guy had alot to tell. Story wise it was okay. But it wasn't a great literary work. More like that unique untold story.

Oyeah, go read LL Cool Js bio. Thats some interesting stuff about his life.

Cold As Ice is one of the most influential books on my life. Eldridge was so raw and revealing in the book. Now I think I'ma read it again this week.

I just finished 'The Valachi Papers', which is basically the biography of an ex-mafia member. Quite a good read.
