    Default Dumb, deaf, and blind

This goes off of my thread on darkness.

Sensory deprivation helps you contemplate deeply.

I think people would actually be able to reach very deep places in thought if one day they woke up dumb deaf and blind.

Dumb= you can shut up which will make you actually think instead of just saying whatever pops in your head

Deaf= No bullshit put in your head by society. Quiet enough to meditate at all times

Blind= not having to see the distractions. Could develop a sense of reality beyond surface appearances.

    Just a thought.

hahaha those terms are often put together....but I guess it is hard to imagine them all in concrete form instead of metaphoric. Concrete could be good but if they were always dumb deaf and blind is there anything to live for? I guess thats a deeper question that can be applied concrete and metaphorically.

    There's a saying...I think by a sufi? Maybe a Taoist??

He who sits quietly with his eyes closed escapes three battles...the battle of sight, hearing and speaking.

I think it was a Muslim...
