Which would you vote for in 2008 if none of the frontrunners were running?
even with "front runners" running, i am voting for dennis kucinich.
everyone should take the following survey based strictly on their positions on the issues. this survey will then match your answers with the candidates. it will rank all of the candidates in order based on what you chose. interestingly enough, when done this way, kucinich wins by a LONGSHOT. the problem is, people aren't out there picking candidates based on the issues most dear to them. if they were, kucinich would be the next president, and this survey is proof of that:
http://www.dehp.net/candidate/
out of the over 62 thousand people who have participated, over 33 thousand of them, based on their positions on the issues, kucinich ended up being their first choice.
look at the unbiased stats for yourself:

if americans voted based strictly on the issues, this is how the top 5 would pan out to be:
1 - kucinich
2 - gravel
3 - obama
4 - clinton
5 - paul
i think paul is the best choice on the republican side, but there are several instances where he and i would differ on the issues, whereas kucinich's platform matches my positions to the T.
Issues where I disagreed with Ron Paul on:
Abortion Rights - I am for, he is against
Embryonic Stem Cells - for, he's against
ANWR Drilling - he is for it, i am against
Kyoto - i am for, he is against
Assault Weapons Ban - i am for, he is against
Guns - Background Checks - i am for, he is against
Citizenship Path for Illegals - i am for, he is against
Border Fence - he is for, i am against
Net Neutrality - he is for, i am against
Minimum Wage Increase - i am for, he is against
Same-Sex Marriage - i am for, he is against
Universal Healthcare - i am for he is against
i agreed with paul on other things like:
the partiot act - we are both against it
war with iran - both against
sanction on iran - both against
troop surge - both against
iraq war - both against
troop withdrawal from iraq - both for
death penalty - both against
gitmo - both against
wiretapping - both against
torture - both against
everything i am for, kucinich is for. with paul, there are obvious differences. i am glad to see when people pick based on the issues that the guy i am supporting comes out on top!
Kucinich 36
Gravel 26
Obama 25
Clinton 22
Richardson 21
Biden 20
Edwards 20
Dodd 13
Paul 13
McCain 11
see, kucinich is the guy most in tune with what most of us want. the media wants you to vote for candidates that favor corporations over people. their little media darlings are: clinton, rudy, romney, mccain, edwards, fred thompson, and barak obama.
they try their hardest to keep candidates like dennis and ron paul out of your radar. neither paul or kucinich even accept money from corporate sponsors, thus they will not base their policies based the amount of money a corporation gave them.
this is why a guy like kucinich can offer true universal healthcare for all americans. the hmo's and pharmaceutical industries aren't in his pocket. they are heavily in the pockets of clinton and edwards, thus, if you get them elected, you can forget about true, universal healthcare. go see sicko if you haven't already. dennis puts his money where his mouth is, he actually co-wrote the legislation for universal healthcare and it is currently sitting in congress right now - hr. 676. elect him and this will be signed into law.
btw, kucinich's point tally on mine was 97, and duncan hunter's was negative 98!
i hope everyone gets out and gets kucinch the nomination for the dems. don't believe the polls. for example, has a pollster ever called you? i've NEVER been called.
I was near tied with Gravel and Kucinich, in the 50-somethings, and the rest were 20 or below.
Kucinich-52
Obama was a 32
