What books would y'all advise me to read.
Caause i've been hearing that some of you had been reading some books, titles found in Wu lyrics.

    What books would you recommend?

Here's some advice. Go to library or book shop and get whichever book(s) look interesting to you. I think that's your best bet.

Ok if you ant some suggestions I will give you a couple of books that really made an impression on me:

Tao Teh Ching - the Translation by CH Wu is one I like. I can email this to you if you can't find it as a PDF or it is available from Shambalah.

Hua Hu Ching - translated by Brian Browne Walker - love it.

I Ching - by same translator

Hagakure - most people on here agree that is a classic I think...

Musashi - Eiji Yoshikawa - GREAT novel...easy reading...if you wanna ease into reading...

The Soul of Rumi - Coleman Barks - beautiful poetry....

Dhamapada - The Buddha....get's deep with this one..

Rich Dad, Poor Dad - Robert Kiyosaki

    The Autobiography of Malcom X

I tried to give a broad spectrum...also, where I said the translator...that is because I have also seen the same text by other translators and I didn't like it.

That should keep you busy a while...

    Is that monkey one this:
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Journey-West...109034-5167061

I think that's the one I have...I really didn't feel that one at all...didn't even read half of it...it was a real let down from Monkey Magic lol.

Yeah Mushashi is great. I stayed up nights reading that.

I just saw Catcher in the Rye like 5 mins ago in this library...must be a sign.

A couple of other great books if you're willing to order online are
Muata Ashby's Egyptian Book of the Dead
    And Metu Neter 1 &2

Why was this thread moved from Know the Ledge to scriptures?

If you like horror get some stephen king shit.
Everythings eventual is a good one because it's a bunch of short stories(some really good, others not so good).

The shining is a fucking amazing book, much better and different to the movie (even though kubrick made it).
