I don't think it's him either, I remember years ago someone was impersonating him on tracks, check out the track 'Holocaust 97' I think it was called, the one with the line 'assassinate your brain to make your mind famous' at the end. All his stuff recorded in the 90's was pretty poor sound quality, the quality of this track is too good to be him from back then, plus his voice sounds off slightly.

I also noticed on Signature of Solitude, the lyrics are much less cryptic than anything I've heard from Holo, it's also very "linear" in the structure/the way the images flow from one to another, when you take the Warcloud/Alcatraz and Architect personas into account. But as you said, it may have been previous Midnight in the Garden of Good. Quite the mystery this is.
That's another good point I neglected to mention regarding the poor sound quality of much of the obscure tracks heard from the late 90s, and the very raw/unmixed quality of his Warcloud/Alcatraz works; Signature of Solitude sounds very polished in comparison.
Do you happen to have Holocaust '97? I've never heard that one, and the idea of Holo being impersonated intrigues me.

Why I know it isn't him, I can tell by the pitch, tone and timbre that that is a white guy's voice.
Lyrically it's too banal and simple anyway, although whoever that is is skilled. Warcloud is genius/master level.

I even think this line is related to WoW:
based on the error message you get when you attempt to log on and their servers are down. Likewise "Territory control" could be related to the PvP aspects of the game where "Alliance" and "Horde" sides battle for control of areas in the game which switch to the control of which ever side is winning.

the 1864 year reference immediately makes me think this a American Civil War Reference (1861-1865) I also suspect now the "Dier" at the end maybe a name, googling Civil War, continental solider does bring up some references to a notable "Dyer" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frederick_H._Dyer

After re-listening I'm starting to the think the "tire" or Tyre here might be a proper name as well, as in a person by that name was sat down just down the corridor. It could just as well be a tire was in a hallway too.

ANybody have any new news?
That guy on the Wake Up Show freestyle is some rapper called E-Rule or something like that. I was talking to Lotec about it a while ago. His voice does sound like Holocaust from around that time period though.
