Default Ice Water - Polluted Wisdom

    anyone heard this yet?

all i can say is, wow

talk about selling out. i thought baby grande was supposed to be an indie label.

haha, first joint i thought i accidentally downloaded a roc-a-fella album.

they got Three Six Mafia, Remy Ma, Pimp C, and fucking Rick Ross?!?!

punchlines? really? naw, nice attempts though

and the cover, hahahaah, Raekwon take up like 75% of the cover, Ice Water dudes take up like, 3%. then you got 20% that says RAEKWON and 2% that gives the album title, they ddin't even TRY to hide that were selling this purely on Rae's name and image

here's a line "fake gucci slippers on and those tight ass hips". just heard it, wow, that's tight

haha here's that hook "damn shorty all i said was hi, but i seen you had them thighs, could it be the escalade or the chrome on the sl-5"

i'm ashamed Rae put his name on this or even let this shit go down

have fun checking this album out, maybe there are some nice tracks but damn there is a lot of crap

haha, dude just said "EARRRRLY!". that's freeway shit, wow, swagger jackin' catch phrases now.

    sad

I like Ice Water but it definitely seems they're tryin to get on some mainstream shit with this. They need to come with the lyrics and originality before that. I'm almost ashamed to say this but it seems like Rae is fuckin up on this one. Ice Water definitely has it in them to make ill shit but them wack-ass guest appearances ain't helpin. Who knows maybe they can't hold lyrical weight against dope emcees so they recruited wack ones??? I hope not. They were all ill on Lex Diamonds

I think having Rae featured on the cover is to the detriment of both Ice Water and Rae. Ice Water because most of the audience they went for with their tracks is probably like "Who the fuck is Raekwon?" I have no idea why they thought that would get them sales. Rae because its another shot to his credibility which is not what he needs before he drops the Cuban Linx 2 album. Bad Bad move, should have had that other image I was seeing be the cover because Rae is still represented but not in a manner that is as tacky as this cover... id say theyre even worse than Free Murda for that shit.

I had a feeling it would be like this.

I'm always dubious of an album that has "XXXXX PRESENTS" in bigger writing than the actual artist's name. Not usually a good sign for their being of a quality to stand on their own.

    Another great example is:

    RZA PRESENTS FREEMURDA

Back in the day, I'd listen to Hellz Wind Staff and think "This guy Streetlife is fuckin sick. That's one of the best lyrics on the album! When we gonna get a solo from this guy?". Eventually, about 8 years later he arrives with a real sub par effort. To be fair at least his name was slightly bigger than Meth's.

This album truly sucks. It has no direction the sound is all over the place. Why did Rae do a track called "click click" then proceed to flow so slow you thought the track was screwed and chopped.

^^ Was wonderign as well. Hard to tell if it's hyped up pushin about rowdy style, or beef.

Had a quick look on google and what I did find was this RZA interview containing this:

    Q) What’s the meanest thing ever said to you before, during or after a gig?

    A) The meanest thing happened during a show, on stage. U-God said, “Yo, get the fuck out of here if you're doin' that bullshit.” Let me tell you why he said it: he has an illusion that no matter what it is, I got something to do with it. It was one of those shows where we were running overtime and someone had to get cut. Now I don't know what's going on — I actually missed the first two days of the tour so this is my first day. So I don't even know the plan or nothing, I'm just jumping in and shit. So then the DJ starts to play his song — that he usually does I guess. And U-God thought I went up and told the DJ not to play his song. I don't know where he got that from, but in the middle of the show sometimes we give each other this look to make the energy go up or vibe in, and he was like, "Get the fuck outta' here. You're on some fuckin' bullshit." I almost wanted to fight and shit, nah mean? But then I was like, "This nigga's crazy." (laughs) Then after the show I found out why he said it and I was like, "Your imagination is crazy sometimes, son. Why the fuck do I give a fuck what you do?" I'm the Abbott, so being the Abbott makes you responsible for everything even if you're responsible for it or not. It was one of meanest things said to me because I only get love and respect at shows, even if that sounds corny.

Probably been posted before, but here's the link if you're interested:
