Family Guy Heads to Xbox Live
20th Century Fox strikes a deal to offer the first two seasons for download.
by Rob Burman, IGN UK
UK, August 30, 2007 - Peter Griffin and the rest of his dysfunctional family are set to make their debut on the Xbox Live Marketplace, thanks to a deal between Microsoft and 20th Century Fox. Initially, that means the first two seasons will be available for download from September 3.

This is the first show from Fox to make it onto Xbox 360 and the first time Family Guy has been downloadable on any video-on-demand service. Each of the episodes costs 160 Microsoft Points (about $2) and 360 owners can also download the Family Guy film, Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story.

Jamie McCabe, executive vice president at Fox said: "This is our first one. We hope to have other content on there, but right now with the launch of Halo 3 and the launch of the new season of Family Guy coming out, the timing really worked well for this one."

Currently the deal only covers North American territories, so everyone else will have to stick with their Family Guy DVDs for the time being.
