i voted "good" only because of some of the beats, and the fact he had Premo do cuts on the best track of the album. he does do an alright job making beats like Premo, but there can be only one.

the debut album: Better 8 Than Never NOW AVAILABLE!!!

oh i ain't really trying to say that kanye is the new premo, my main disagreement was with the statement about Everything I Am being the hottest track on the record, it's one of the only ones i usually skip

haven't listened to this since it dropped but something made me wanna revisit it today and it turns out i've been too harsh on this album in other threads lately. it is really, really well produced and Kanye has his moments on the mic though what turned me off from this album in the first place was his change of lyrical subjects. on the first albums he talked about alot of problems and shit going on and social issues while this one is more braggadocious and shit.

"Good Morning", "Can't Tell Me Nothing", "Barry Bonds" (minus the awful Lil' Wayne verse) and "Everything I Am" is real fucking ill... as Wade said it's a real good commercially appealing album for these days.

    7.5/10
