Its not just "abstract thoughts" or "stream of conciousness", people use that too much. He's just making cultural references. hes rapping about whats around him and his enviroment, about things that make up our lives but most people ignore. He's an observationist. Its like when seinfeld makes you laugh with talking about just regular thigns we all do on a daily. But he's not just doing that, its his flow that brings it all together. Read off that verse without knowing the song its impossible to know how fly that sounds when he says it. It doesnt even sound like a rap verse, it hardly rhymes even. It also has a meaning. It had a personal meaning when he wrote it. It may not have a meaning now.
