as a Percee P die hard fan, I'm satisfied with this shit. It's not a classic, but a very good album (my standards are very high).
altough Percee didn't work with Madlib in the studio and he jsut picked the beats out of the shit Madlib sent him, overall it sounds good. lyrically the album is just fuckin great, it shits on today's standards in hip-hop.

I like the track with Aesop, sounds really good, the one with Chali too, Mastered Craftsman is a classic, shit, more than half of the tracks are classics.
The only one that stinks is the one with Vinny Paz,...

maaaaaaaaan, that shit stinks... sounds horrible...

    so... thank you Percee P

    peace

i dunno about this, was going to pick it up the other day but got something else instead.

i like Throwback Rap Attack but not really feeling Put It on The Line at all.

i still think a lot of madlib beats sound fuckig awkward rhymed over, i think his porduction is great but theres still something about the way mc's flow over his beats which i think sound odd. his beats to me can usually stand by themselves. Oh No makes much better complete track in my opinion.

anyway, i will probably check it out.

The earth is a very small stage in a vast cosmic arena. Think of the rivers of blood spilled by all those generals and emperors so that in glory and in triumph they could become the momentary masters of a fraction of a dot.

People are too stupid to effectively conspire to do anything, but not too stupid to come up with conspiracy theories.

Great album. My only problem is why he used that version of Put It On The Line. I got the vinyl 12" of that track, and the other version is a much nicer beat for me. The one they used is Madlib getting a little too spaced out for a beat with a rapper like Percee in my opinion. Don't get me wrong, it's a cool beat, and the change is mad nice, but the main section just didn't suit Percee as well I thought. And the other was one of my favourite recent beats I've heard from anyone.

If people don't know the one I mean, I'll up it later.

Only got it as a .wma right now, hope that's cool:

Percee P - Put It On The Line (Original Mix)
    http://www.zshare.net/download/4335882ec4a56e/

It's a much simpler beat (but really nice), and I think that suits Percee more than the really out there ones do.

I think this is called the 'Original Mix' (not the OX or BX mixes), but can't remember for sure.
