compressing a album of mp3s

i wanna post up a whole mix tape i made so should i winzip it n shit or wot!?!?
havent done anythink like that for years. any pointers whould go far.

To be honest, neither of those will 'substantially' reduce the size. They are designed for reducing the size of documents etc that have large sections that can be removed and remembered easily in another way (instead of a bit of data for each space on a line it can just say 20 x space in a row type thing). With something as random as music it takes very clever compression like mpeg to really shrink it down a lot. Most albums on the net are zipped just cos it keeps the tracks together in one file that can be easily downloaded.

e.g. Putting 4 mp3s that total 20.5Mb (altogether) into a Winzip file, gives a resulting file of 20.3Mb - no great saving.

But forgetting that, yeah use Winzip or Winrar.
