Weirdly, I watched a different movie with mother in the title.

This is an odd film. A compelling piece of art.

Dark (German TV series) on Netflix.
Brooding, eerie. Mind-bending twists and turns.
Much more of a satisfying and rewarding watch than Stranger Things imo.

The Endless - Cosmic horror about 2 brothers who revisit the death cult they fled from as teenagers. It was a little slow in places, but overall it was entertaining and the concept was smart.

I rewatched The Wire over the last few months. I forgot how grimly depressing this shit gets towards the end with the phoney politicians, Duquan, kids getting corrupted, McNulty fucking around with dead bodies etc. Amazing show though, for a million reasons.

Also been watching some classic Japanese films - Most recently Gojira, Ugetsu Monogatari and Kwaidan. Kwaidan (Ghosts) is the best of those three, its based on 4 old japanese folk tales and it portrays the otherworldly feel of those stories very well.
