This is an odd film. A compelling piece of art.
Yes. It's about Earth and what we're doing to it.

    Pennyworth

I’m not into super hero shit, but I really liked Gotham. The same guy who creates that is doing this. It’s pretty fucking good.

In The Mouth Of Madness - John Carpenter flick with Sam Neill as an insurance investigator who gets pulled into a horror writer's world. I thought it was just okay as I watched it but I ended up thinking about it later in the day, smart film.

The Larry Sanders Show - Its just funny.

strangely, i started watching this right before Garry Shandling died. i was probably only an episode or 2 in. i finished it up fairly quickly. great show. for a while i was listening to a podcast about the Johnny Carson Show. basically the guy interviews anybody left still alive that had anything to do with that show... former writers, secretaries, cue card guys, producers etc... it seems like some of the ideas for larry sanders really did come from the carson show... especially the Larry/Hank & Johnny/Ed relationship. Also, how Ed is a consummate whore when being a spokesman and promoting products.

^ Shandling used to host or guest host a late night show right? You can kind of tell watching it that some of the stuff is from real life. The trio of Larry, Hank & Artie is perfect.

That was a pretty important show in hindsight. Stuff like Extras and 30 Rock basically just took the concept and ran with it.

Yeah. He would guest host when Johnny Carson went on vacation. Apparently he was so good, everyone thought he would have his own show. But he told the networks to fuck off and created Larry Sanders

I'm 15 years late but I had a friend recommend I watch Breaking Bad and man, fucking phenomenal.
I stopped before cause the first two seasons are really slow, but in retrospect needed to be that slow.

Lol, don't know how you avoided it for 10 years. I don't even think the first 2 seasons are slow, its fascinating to watch a guy get deeper and deeper into the game. It gets exponentially crazier, but still excellent as it goes along.

Better Call Saul is dope and its kind of following a similar trajectory, but its different, more of a slow burn just because Saul isn't directly involved in gangster shit (although you got Gus and Mike providing some of that).

I'm going to be watching a documentary that is coming to Netflix from Chelsea Handler. It's called Hello privilege, it's me Chelsea. She is going to be discussing how white privilege has helped her career and her whole life overall.
