the first two Seasons of Mad Men are definitely rewatchable. I noticed a slight decline afterwards, although I did watch the whole run.
Bad news about Westworld S2. maybe I'll just watch the opening episode and see if it's to my taste.

they put Hannibal on netflix. currently watching that
Billions S1 & S2
Yeah I had seen it a long time ago. It takes the right mood to sit down and watch an almost 4 hour film. It's an exceptionally well made film, regardless of the casual racism. Only thing that was goofy as hell was the daughter falling off the pony and dying. She fell like 2 feet for fucks sake. But thats nitpicking, the movie is 80 years old so you can't expect amazing special effects.
I never heard of the Fawlty Towers stuff. People should be more grown up about these things, it shouldn't be a revelation every time somebody discovers that SHOCK-HORROR! people from 10 plus years ago don't have the same attitudes and vocabulary as people today. Modern social/popular culture is pathetic, young people are soft as fuck.
'The Deuce'. The pilot was reasonably interesting, I might check out the full first season. The seventies era is a big plus for me on this one
Still liking 'The Deuce'
Watching the 'Aquaman' movie for the first time. 20 minutes in and this movie looks pretty dumb so far with the cgi fishies outacting the actors ...
'Youth' with Michael Caine & Harvey Keitel. hypnotizingly slow. very contemplative
^ Sounds interesting, might have to find it.
I've been watching Brian Cox's The Planets. He explains the history of our solar system, with incredible photo-realistic graphics. It's pretty cool.
'Ghost in the shell' w/ ScarJo : one third in and bettet than expected
I watched the 1995 anime ages ago and tbh I didn't get all of it (possibly plotholes or just me being me). great atmosphere and graphics though
^^this is American but was it a hit in the US? it was one of the all year top hits in Western Europe in 1999.
the vid w/ the GITS graphics was the official vid for Europe. it was on tv ALL the time. Still love this song

I thought I would watch the GITS remake, but I'm such a big fan of the 2 movies and 2 series that it doesn't appeal. It's a deep story, and to my mind it's a close approximation of where our society will probably be in 20 or so years.
I won't watch the newer anime versions they've released either, they look like trash. The remake doesn't look bad, but it's the same story so I don't need to see it.
Sha since you are into anime, I was wondering ... are you familiar w/ this other AMV by the same act (Wamdue Project = DJ Chris Brann + writer / studio singer Gaelle Adison+ female vocalist on tour Victoria Blackstone). maybe you'll enjoy this one :
^^someone did a frame by frame remaster of the original vid, which must have taken a lot of work. looks good! the same was done for 'King of my castle' but that one isn't on YT anymore
anime footage from 'Patlabor 2 : The Movie' (1993)
before today I was unfamiliar with both the song and the anime (I know next to nothing about anime)
