    haha, yeah, you can.

I remember reading a book which was a collection of articles Hunter S Thompson wrote for the San Francisco Times or whatever, and it included some hilarious letters responding to Steadman. Basically demeaning the shit out of him and telling him to stop being such a pussy.

Anyway, it's called Withnail And I.

British film from 1980 (or about then) set in 69' about a couple of fiends (Richard E Grant and Paul McGann) who wake up from a 3 day speed bender and then go to the country and stay in Withnails uncle's country house.

Where they barely manage to survive given their lack of survival skills, terrible culinary aptitude and paranoia.

The uncle turns out to be a predatory homosexual also, which proves amusing.

Funny film, but in a quaint way.

    i'll check that out
grant and mcgann are good actors

about steadman...i watched this hunter s thompson documentary where among other things (like him chewing out alex cox and this female screenwriter who were originally set to adapt fear and loathing and wanted to do the desert bits as animation with sent him into a rage lol) steadman's supposed to be sketching some shit for him and hunter's just berating him the whole time lol
steadman came across as that archetype of the constantly put upon older british dude who just takes it all in stride lol

drag me to hell is pretty killer...it has some typical raimi melodramatic cheesiness at some points (the only movie of his I can think of that didn't go overblown at one point or another is that film he did with cate blanchett and keanu reeves whose name escapes me right now)

The Life and Times of Tim lol. Anybody seen this? For those who don't know it's a cartoon about this average guy who gets into awkward situations all the time. That description made it sound really corny and lame lol, but it's fuckin hilarious. It's got that awkward-style comedy similar to The Office or something like that
