Stories about Fabolous’ presence at a New York nightclub where his friend was fatally stabbed last week continue to conflict as a club promoter has revealed that he saw the rapper at the nightspot prior to the murder.

Andre Faria of party promotion company Party Time NYC, claims that his company invited Fabolous to Club Duvet on Thanksgiving night (November 22) and that he saw the rapper at the club.

Faria also claims that 25-year-old Shamal McKinney, who was stabbed to death in the plush nightspot that night, arrived at the club as part of Fabolous’ entourage.

“Fabolous was there. He came in with about a dozen people between midnight and 12:30 a.m.,” Faria told The New York Daily News yesterday (November 26). “He brought the guy who was murdered with him, as part of his crew.”

Faria claims Fabolous left the club before the stabbing saying he had a family obligation.

Shortly after the rapper left, Faria says that two women who were part of Fabolous’ entourage got into a scuffle and McKinney got stabbed trying to break it up.

Fabolous’ lawyer, Alberto Ebanks , who when reached by The Daily News on Sunday (November 25) insisted that the rapper was not at the club, still strongly emphasizes that his client was not at the nightspot.

“I just called [Fab] and have verified that he was not there at any point. Absolutely, positively not there,” Ebanks told The Daily News.

Authorities found a bloody knife in a dumpster near t he club. No suspects have been named or arrested.

Shamal was stabbed in his chest and back. He died on arrival at St. Vincent's Hospital.
