well i was lured in to buying this album from the corp. this guy at my job the album is gonna be dope. I think hes dead wrong. this album aint dope only 3 worthy songs of having 3 stars. I dont wanna shit on this album. im just disapoointed. i thought I was hear a hip hop savior for the mainstream. I fell so dumb not realizng lupe sounds like kanye. I never heard his voice or before. just that food and liquor was dope. so i bought in to it. out of all the hip hop albums I bought this year . this is the least fav.

i loved it. its softer than the sht i usually listen to, but this is a nice album tht you can listen to with your girl and not get bitched at.
my favorite tracks:
-The Coolest (hated "the coolest nigga what" at first, but i have to admit, its catchy now)
-Streets on Fire -- is this about AIDS or something?
-Put You on Game --probably this darkest track on here

Fuck the backpackers that are hating on this shit. If Lupe only sold 50k, I'm sure more people in this room would be feeling him. The album is real nice. It flows from the beginning to the end. I agree with what some people are saying...Food & Liquor was his Illmatic & The Cool was his It Was Written.

just copped the album, today in fact. later release date over here. so far, the album sounds dope. lupe's flow is smooth thru out. damn, hip hop really needs this album, its really fresh. tracks like paris tokyo. dumb it down.... this is good music. cant say why any one could hate on it. need to give it a few more listens b4 i can say for sure but i can tel its gonna get better with every spin.
Every sung hook on here is amazing (with the exception of Intruder which makes me cringe..) Songs like Paris, Tokyo, Streets on Fire, Little Weapon, Hip Hop Saved My Life....they all have amazing choruses.
Average album, choruses are annoying.
