Default "Big Doe Rehab" vs. "American Gangster"

This is obvious, both albums are built around 70's soul-sampling and hood stories. The two artists are on the same level lyrically and with the flow, plus the main producers are the same.

So which is the better album, if you ask me the answers easy. American Gangster is better executed.

We're on a Wu-Tang forum, what do you think people will vote?

I bet some people will vote without even hearing both albums.

    american gangster is better

    american dreamin
    no hook
    ignorant shit
    say hello
    success
    fallin

are better than every song on bdr except yolanda's house

we celebrate and white linen affair are average at best and there is no other standout on the album besides yolanda's house

the hitmen's work on ag is way better than their work on bdr as well

honestly, I thought american gangster was sub par. BDR was just decent, but Jay fell off pretty bad.

No point in this thread because of the bias, but still 'American Gangster' is a professional sounding project with numerous quotables and a continuous sound that makes 'BDR' sound like it was slapped together in a few hours.

Also theres not really stories on 'AG', more observations and introspective writing on the life of a hustler. Ghost's album has some great tracks and stories but it doesn't really have any deep messages to it. Its that fast food that RZA was talking about.

Fucking retards; Ghost's ** worst ** album versus a better (but still wackass bullshit) Jay one that cost TEN times (at least) to make? Verdict: Beanie Sigel sucks but oooh, he does make the boss sound better.

Smif N Wessun "The Album" > Jay & Ghost combined this time, however--

Ghost on "Pretty Toney" DESTROYS ** all ** Jay

Ghost on "8D" DESTROYS "I Was a Cartoon Gangster"

yeah there wasn't no nourishment's from Ghost's album it was more like a quick microwave meal but still good

and "american gangster" was dope but i felt like i wanted more

this is why 8 diagrams is the full meal, something that lingers with me and gradually get bumped a lil more
