Its like comparing gritty hard to hard with a tune. Like saying Mobb Deep (Hell on Earth) to Pharell latest Album. Two different leagues. Ghost is RAP music...Jay Z is Hip Hop ... and if you didn't know, yea there is a difference.
the only difference is that rap is music, hip-hop is the culture.

you can compare these albums, besides, RD is gritty. but yeah it's way better than Ironman and SC, it compares to OB4CL. How could Ironman be better than an album with Can't Knock the Hustle, Dead Presidents II, D'Evils, Can I Live, Bring It On and Regrets?

On the real, American Gangster is a much more entertaining album...I Know, Ign Shit, Say Hello, No Hook are heads and shoulders better than all of Big Doe Rehab except Yolanda's house and my personal favorite, Die for you

That is not a fact, it's an opinion. Jay-Z fell off. Kingdom Come and American Gangster are both weak albums...in my opinion. Best part about American Gangster is the Nas verse.

Although BDR was a fast food meal, it was better than American Gangster. Ghost is better at telling stories....they are far more complex than those of Jay-Z. Just my opinion.

nas did not murk jay at all, nas's verse was actually worse imo but it's up for debate.

i agree 100% with that order.

So which is the better album, if you ask me the answers easy. American Gangster is better executed.
yeah i agree. except that i think jigga's better than ghost with his rhymeschemes and even lyrically, but ghost edges jay with his storytelling ability. I vote for american gangster for the same reason as you

That's word, and for the same reason I voted for American Gangster. Plus it had overall better production than BDR (seems like LV and Sean C can make dope tracks only if mentored by Diddy, but ssshhhh, don't tell no one).

EDIT: Ah, yeah, replay value. Two weeks after BDR I'm listening pretty much just to Yolanda's House, Yapp City and I'll Die for You. Two months after AG I'm listening to every song, intro included, except Party Life, Blue Magic and I Know.

Both albums got playtime here, but BDR takes the cake. Personally I like it very much.

I didn't really like either albums to be honest.

Umm I also think Ironman is better than Reasonable Doubt. And explain why Ghostface is rap and Jay Z is hiphop.
