Compared to 36 chambers and forever, 8D is weak.
BUT... Compared to everything else in the radio, Wu-Tang is still lightyears ahead.
man im reading all these comments and i think people are missing the point.its not about wether or not Wu sells 1 billion copies with 8 diagrams, its not about that.its expected especially nowadays the way the game has changed, that a group like Wu Tang will only get to Gold status if that. For example an underground artist can drop a dope album and sell 250,000 copies, who cares! the point is the album was dope.this is where the problems comes in,8 Diagrams wont sell large numbers , but at the same time the album is weak! we know the commerical public will not pay attention to the Wu,but theres a problem when actual fans of the wu is sayin the album is not good.thats just something u cant deny, this album is very weak.some people have a hard time accepting that cuz they feel like anything the wu drops is " butter son" "real hip hop god" etc etc. i dont just put the blame on rza, u can just hear the verses by members, and it sounds like they didnt even wanna be there, rediculous.
I like this album a lot, By no means a classic but i cant remember a classic album in any genre for quite a while......just my opnion for what its worth.
peace everytime
asher

i have to agree with the threadstarter... but fuk it was good that they lasted this long and there are easily like 500 bangin wu-tracks out
i disagree. Commercially... the Wu isnt there... but they are still putting out dope music and thats all the real heads want.
