    Default Civil War

i know im hella fuckin late but i just started gettin the TPB of the civil war tie-ins
    so far i got:
    Prelude to Civil War
    Civil War
    Peter Parker, Spider-Man
    Amazing Spider-Man
    Thunderbolts

the best being Prelude cuz the build up is so dramatic and makes so much sense
i know theres like 15 more TPBs but so far i think it was at least top 5 major Marvel crossovers ever
its just so real seeing how close friends/teammates turn to bitter enemies
    anyone else enjoyed Civil War?

I was just gonna post a question on this myself.

I've never followed comics fully, so don't know all the various stories that have led up to Civil War. But I've been getting back into reading graphic novels recently, and reading online about House Of M and Civil War has got me really interested and I was wondering if someone could suggest what I should read to take in the stories of both.

There seems to be a number of tie-ins to the original 8 part House Of M and 7 part Civil War, and I wanted to know which really need to be read, and whether they should be read before or after these main stories. I prefer to buy graphic novels, and wish I could just pick up a couple of huge collections, but these don't seem to be available (yet).

Thanks in advance for any help.

wow u guys are mad late...eloels...this was a great story arc...but also a bit upsetting since Cap had to die right after...though two great things out of it came out...the Secret (New) avengers, and the new roster of the Thunderbolts...Penance is fuckin awesome....

as for House of M...jus go with the messiah complex thats currently going on...imo more enjoyable than Civil war just because im a huge X-men fan....all good shit though...

Still haven't worked this one out!

If I want to pretty much understand everything going on in the Civil War arc, what titles are recommended to go before/after/along with it?

I dunno what I need to read out of stuff like New X-Men/Avengers Disassembled/House Of M as well as the various tie ins to Civil War. Can someone just list a suitable set of graphic novels to read, and a suggested order to read them in.

    Thanks.

    read. avengers disassembled first.
    then house of m
then the new avengers series from the start if you can up until it starts the civil war.
then you can pretty much read civil war and all its tie ins. the x men tie in was wack though. another storyline was secret war. it was mediocre, but it explains why nick fury aint around.

you know, i dont think i read any of the tie ins at all with house of m. i just read the main series. the house of m avengers series is out right now. but its not really tied in, its just a back story of the formation of the avengers in that timeline. its pretty good though.

Ok, I've decided to check out (gonna take a while):

    Avengers Disassembled
    Avengers Disassembled: Iron Man
    Avengers Disassembled: Captain America
    Avengers Disassembled: Thor
    Fantastic Four: Disassembled
    Spectacular Spider-Man: Disassembled
    House Of M
Decimation: X-Men - The Day After
    Decimation: Generation M
    Decimation: Son Of M
    Wolverine: Origins & Endings
    X-Men: Deadly Genesis
    Decimation: Sentinel Squad O*N*E
    Decimation: X-Men 198
    Secret War
    New Avengers Vo.1-5 (issues 1-25)
The Road to Civil War (including 'New Avengers: Illuminati')
    Civil War

Wow, just worked out the total cost to buy all of that would be £179.83!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, if I ever get through it all, then I'll think about Civil War tie-ins! Anyone recommend which ones to read? I've heard bad things about a couple.

as far as the civil war tie ins i personally liked the captain america, iron man & spider man stuff. the new avengers tie ins were my personal favorite. i also enjoyed the black panther & heroes for hire tie ins too. the wolverine ones were ok, and the x men one just sucked.
