Classic album, my favorite Gang Starr album. What else is there to say? this is one that everyone who considers themselves a rap fan should have.

    tops for gangstarr imo.

the production is a little diff from premo on this one. just feeling it.
The earth is a very small stage in a vast cosmic arena. Think of the rivers of blood spilled by all those generals and emperors so that in glory and in triumph they could become the momentary masters of a fraction of a dot.

People are too stupid to effectively conspire to do anything, but not too stupid to come up with conspiracy theories.

It's a great album, but slightly overrated. Definitely not a classic. Songs like Comin for Datazz, The Planet, Comin for Datazz and F.A.L.A. bring it down a little bit. Mass Appeal is the best song. Other great songs are Code of the Streets, Speak Ya Clout, DWYCK, Blowin' Up the Spot and Suckas Need Bodyguards. 4/5

Yeah, this album is definitely overrated. If it was in another artist's collection it'd be their best album by far, but for Gang Starr it's their second or third best.

good album, but mass appeal is just such a standout song it feels that it was a 1 track album. i felt that moment of truth was a more solid album all up. still a classic though no doubt.

The beats on "Brainstorm", "DWYCK", "Mass Appeal", "Now You're Mine" are fucking insane. This is a personal classic for me...some of my favorite production.
