yo Twelve and anyone else,

I have an opportunity to cop a MPC 1000 for $400. Its the black version. bought new about 1 year ago. I'm not sure if it has the new version of the pads or not. Should i cop this?

I already told you guys i have the asr-10. I'm so good at sampling and chopping and filtering with the ensoniq, but the asr-10 sequencer bothers the fuck out of me. Do you think that the mpc 1000 would be a worthwhile addition to my setup? From everything i've researched, the mpc 1000 seems the better deal than the 2000xl. Also it seems portable enough, unlike my asr 10 that weighs almost 100lbs. mpc 1000 limited to 4 outputs, but thats enough for me considering i'll be using it strictly for the drums and sequencing. It has the usb, no scsi that i noticed. I can add an internal HD to it. Seems like the way to go. Any advice whether i should spend the $400 on something else? can the mpc 1000 sample its own outputs? how good of a midi controller is it? does it spread a sample out chromatically on all the pads? i think only the 2000xl version might do this.

The mpc 2500 is probably what i'd prefer. But it costs twice the amount of a 1000.

i ended up getting the mpc1000 to add to my setup in the dj room. my other sampler isn't portable enough. I can take the mp around.

I saw a sp404 for $100 a week ago. i had to pass it up.

I saw a technics 1200 that some technician had modified to be much better. haven't done much record shopping lately. I might have to toss one of my receivers. It sounds good but i hear static when i turn the dials and every 5 minutes the speakers blow up with static and i have to cut the unit off. I'm too lazy to open the thing up and see whats wrong. I have 2 other receivers still performing. I haven't even hooked the motu up yet as a recording method and d/a converter. Almost copped an alesis effects rack unit but the cord was missing. I found a 1200 watt home receiver rack unit for $200 but passed it up. I found a really good sample collection for sale but it cost too much. A $1 record is more for the money. I'm investing in more patch cables i have an extra mixer to add to my setup if i ever run out of inputs. I just started using midi about a year ago, it took me a while to catch on. My setup is always changing, when it comes to music sometimes less is more.

ya shut put em in a equal triangle yo, like 1.5,1.5 with tweeterz on ear length to ya ears and space between speakerz shut be 1.5 to! or maby 2meters shove a lil, depends on ya room! just wanned to write it kz of da picz I saw
