"Bannana Coat Matchin' With The Ratchet"

I love the way how Rae & Ghost finnish it off at the end.
I swear I diddn't even realize they were on it for like the first 5-10 listens !!!!
I just kept rewinding it after GZA's verse !
    I thought it was a 3 man track !!!!
    Oh...those were the days.
    Brilliant album also...
Wave your Iron Flag with pride.

Back In The Game is a killer jawn, one of Wu-Tang's most under rated....
    GZA proper kills it too.

Funny seeing all the newfound love for Iron Flag now that 8D's has sunken in lol. Personally, I've gone back to it too to give it a fair shake and like 8D, it's grown on me. Peace-

I just can't stand that beat, nor the cheesy hook.

^ it certainly isn't cheesy whether we're talking about the beat or the great Ron Isley's hook. it's just not your typical Wu sound, it's kind of like Trackmasters with their signature sound doing their best to create a Wu banger and for me it definitely worked. one of the better songs on the album, pretty underrated. i take this over "Rules", "The Glock", "Dashing", "Soul Jungle", "One Of These Days" and once upon a time "Radioactive" though i've come around to that one. so that's like half the album... "Iron Flag" isn't as great to me as people say it is, plenty of bangers on there for sure, but it's not a cohessive statement like "8 Diagrams" for example.

Just listened to it again after seeing this thread & my opinion hasn't changed in 15 years. It's ok but definitely nothing special. It sounds mad 2001, especially the drums. Typical Trackmasters shit (I don't hate them btw).

I dunno it's not a bad track but the verses are way better than the beat. Like the whole song coulda been so much better. In fact that whole album coulda been so much better. But I remember them times, strange times in NYC and in Hip Hop as a whole. Everything was changing fast.
