He knew they was gonna diss mainstream rappers/dancers and basically let them speak their mind. Now i agree with you that GZA didn't want to diss SOulja Boy but dude knew the crowd was gonna say something reckless, something GZA would agree to but wouldn't outright say. 50 cent respected GZA and most of the clan before. In his interview he basically backed RZA...He called Meth his favorite rapper in the clan (and quoted him)...he most likely respects the dudes that did not diss him.
