Default Yea, I Think I'm Pretty much Done With Wu Concerts...

As a group. They perform the same tracks everytime. Nothing after The W. I wanna hear some new shit, they barely perform tracks from 98-99, I think I'll just stick to solo concerts. For the people who go to almost every concert don't you wanna hear some other shit....IDK I might change my mind though...

Only a few years ago Hip Hop purists may have felt superior listening to hard core while their less enlightened companions snacked on commercial rap. As Shaolin research began to point out the overwhelming benefits of raw production, true hip hop enthusiasts started turning back to traditional styles. Wu-Tang in particular, has been shown to myriad beneficial effects, from warding off ignorance and poverty to reducing the risk of incarceration and death.

I wish they came here, so I could complain of what they play or don't play.

El Paso, TX. But I didn't mean the other reply as sarcastic, I'm just sayin that they rarely come here, and it's the 5th biggest city in Texas.

Oh, don't get me wrong though, the Wu concerts do be hype as fuck and I feel the vibe, but they do the same routines...

I got the same energy from watchin the disciples of the 36 Chambers as I do everytime I see other concerts of them. But then again it those same routines that got em there in the first place, to me you don't fuck with success.

i've seen wu 4 times. once without rza. the 3 ghostface shows i've seen are better as far as song selection and all out energy. though this one wu show in feb 03 in worchester mass was fuckin high energy, long, and ended wit rza spittin accapella freestyle while the rest of the clan walked off stage. they even turned the house lights on and rza was still droppin jewels (unknown verse, sounded like some cure-type shit not that any of us would know what "cure-type shit" would sound like).

nowadays if i attend a wu show, it's just to buy all the t-shirts and mixtapes i can find that i don't already have.....actually it's a good enouh reason. i'm hitting up that rochester now Y show.

I kinda feel the same as King Tron. But even if they did come here more often I don't think it would bother me, though I can see what you mean. They play the classics because they're the most popular ones and the crowd favourites. If everyone knows the songs then the concert is gonna be more hype, but if they came on and played "Turbulence" from Golden Arms or something like that then a lot of people in the crowd wouldn't know what it was, so it wouldn't be as good.

^ I'm hopefully going to a Rza concert in April as well

One of the other shows he's doing in the UK is listed as "Rza as Bobby Digital" so I assume the London one will be the same thing, which means he'll be doing stuff from the first two albums.

Oh and then in May Rae and Ghost are coming to London to perform the whole of Cuban Linx
