    Default Pacino or De Niro?

    hmm...

I'm more of a De Niro fan myself, cos he can do comedy really well aswell as serious stuff.

the number of times this has been discussed here is innumerable.

still, De Niro has made more good movies than Pacino.

    so thats it for me.

as actors, they are almost on par, although De Niro's range cannot be topped.

Pacino has variety also, just not to the same degree.

Thats like picking between filet mignon and a porterhouse (steak thread reference). You cant go wrong.

Pesci is not better than either...

ill put it this way....young De Niro is better than young Pacino. Middle aged, they tie...older Pacino is better than De Niro.

lol pacino has a greater range? hmm no they both have a pretty diverse range, fail for that remark

as always it turns into "whos catalouge is better" rather than "whos the better actor" in which case the answer to both questions is neither

ohhh lol de niro can do comedy because he read off a script for meet the parents ... yet pacino is coming through as the hardest cunt alive on scarface and still pulled bits of comedic value ...

both are GOATS so fuck trying to compare

to me deniro plays the same guy but placed in diff situations.

roles that were outside of the stereotype like the one where he was paralyzed from a stroke and had the gay guy take care of him, (forget the name), seemed shallow to me.

some of this may be personal pref, but to me, pacino's roles have been much more diverse.
