it's nearly impossible...at least with the programs that are out now..

there's a few programs out there that let you fuck around with mp3s and edit them and shit...(i made a thread about it here: http://www.wutang-corp.com/forum/showthread.php?t=50617)

but with all those programs, when u try to take the lyrics off u usually end up with a horribly edited beat that's got really low volume and sounds scratchy or else you can still hear the vocals at a very low volume..

it's something i'd really like to be able to do too but nobody's been able to make it happen as of yet....

The real question is how you get the strings/drums/vocals/whatever out of the song without playing the rest of it

You can't do that, it's technically impossible to strip lyrics off a song and simply take the beat. Atleast to my knowledge.

The only reason rapper's instrumentals are circulated is because they are released or were back in the day on vinyls and on B Sides and shit like that.

Just look for instrumentals and acapellas. There's enough out there already to make doing this less necessary.

But to cleanly take one from the other is impossible.

Yeah there are vocal dimming tools available, but they mostly just dim the mid range of a track, meaning that any part of the instrumental that falls into the same frequency range as vocals will also be lost.

This method at best dims vocals, meaning that laying additional vocals on top would sound muddled.

Okay hold tight.. it is possible but It takes some time. Use "Audacity" .. it records sounds played on your computer so also music obviously. Let the song play out while you record it with "Audacity" 'n the great thing is you can zoom the line of sound till it's like microscopical 'n you can pluck out tones etc.

It does work but it's alot of work.. also "Audacity" is the easiest program ever to sample with. No need for difficult sampling techniques cause really I allways use "Audacity" and it's just as good plus hella easy. Get that program.

Yo man, there is program called Sybelius...........
I have, it, can give u a link to download it if u want...
It is possible with it to make instrumental...
U have to convert mp3 to midi, and than when u open it is sybelius there will be tons of notes, so u have to delete voice line, and than u will get clear instrumental, just save it to midi and convert it to mp3....

But I strongly suggest u not to fuck with that shyt if u r not ready to spend 99% of a day on that shyt...
I was trytin to find that voice line for fuckin half of year, but it's fuckin impossible if u do not know well music theory....

Just say if u wanna link for download, and I will give it to ya......

    Peace.................................
