throw in any other noteworthy albums you can think of. I struggled making the list, so just put in anythinf from random electronic genres...

Id like to do a list of like... Joy Division stuff and other things... but im unsure of what genre that kind of thing is.

Im sure Pro eng will delete this nonsense talk, but im pretty sure im the only semi sober one involved in this convo...

i said "ill return with some ideas", and you said "plz, i already know about DJ Shadow...".

i dont know why you said that, because i posted one dj shadow album and various other things apart from trip hop.

    regulate on yo self fool.

    I'd add this straight away:

    Lamb - Lamb

I'll think of a few more.

We could always have an 'Other' list as well.

    True.

But im sure there is a name for Joy Division, The Chameleons and all the other bands that formed out of that sound. Maybe Post Punk, although terms like that are pretty ridiculous. Unclassifiable sounds good to me.

To be honest I find genres annoyingly restrictive in the first place. I'm gonna add these without making any genre restrictions. Just go buy them/download them/steal them and have a listen:

    Paul Simon - Gracelands
    The Travelling Wilbury's - Volume 1
Nine Inch Nails - Pretty Hate Machine
    Buffalo Sprinfield - Again
Faith No More - The Real Thing
Toots & The Maytals - Monkey Man
Johnny Cash - Live At Folsom Prison
Levellers - A Weapon Called The Word
    Carter USM - 101 Damnations
Bob Dylan - Highway 61 Revisited/Blonde On Blonde
Chuck Berry - The Great Twenty-Eight
Robert Johnson - King Of Delta Blues Vol.1
Dire Straits - Brothers In Arms
    Janis Joplin - Pearl
Rage Against The Machine - Rage Against The Machine
Dizzy Gillespie - Live Sweet Soul
    John Coltrane - Giant Steps
Leonard Cohen - I'm Your Man
Easy Star All Stars - Dub Side Of The Moon
    Pavement - Slanted & Enchanted
Steely Dan - The Royal Scam
Bruce Springsteen - The Wild, The Innocent, And The E-Street Shuffle
The Kinks - Something Else By The Kinks
Wes Montgomery - The Incredible Jazz Guitar Of
Underworld - Second toughest In The Infants
    Herbie Hancock - Empyrean Isles
    Esther Phillips -
    The Nice - Elegy
    Jane's Addiction - Nothing's shocking
David Bowie - The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars
Funkadelic - One Nation Under A Groove
Credence Clearwater Revival - Willy and the Poor Boys
    Fats Domino - Greatest Hits
    Buddy Holly - Greatest Hits
    Eddie Cochrane - Greatest Hits
    Stone Roses - Stone Roses
