As long as we continue to rely on someone else to tell us how free we are and ourselves refuse to use the inborn faculties that will always guide us, none of us will ever truly be free. True freedom, in it's purest form, isn't doing everything you're grown enough to do, which usually amounts to slow suicide. It's actually the exact opposite. The man, woman or child who cultivates themselves to the best of their ability, strives for perfection, knowing full well they'll never reach it, will be eons past the masses. That, in my opinion, is looking Death square in the face, smiling and shaking his hand. That, to me, is true freedom. In this society though, one would be wise to take advice from Sun Tzu when he said, "When strong, appear weak. When near...appear far."
"Die before you die."-Prophet Muhammad (Pbuh)
