Default Pharoahe Monch is one of THE most underrated rappers

I mean, a lot of people only know him from his solo work, but if you ask me, his best stuff was with Organized Konfusion. His performance on those three albums is better than most peoples carrers. The guys got a fucking amazing flow, which never becomes monotonous or so so, but he has this unbelievable abillty to switch up his flow almost effortlessly, his delivery is second to none, and his breath control? Outstanding.

Lyrically hes dope, nothing outstanding, but dope. Its just the skills he uses in transcribing those lyrics to us is second to none.

His solo carrer has being kind of dissapointing though. 'Internal Affairs' is almost classic, i love that album, but then we had to wait YEARS for the follow up, which to me was a bit of a dissapointment. Thats his failure- lack of material

But hes a fantastic rapper, and one of the most underrated in my opinion.
    Anyone agree?

For those who havent heard his verse on 'Bring It On':

    "Mind chip
I even be gettin more graphic than an Neo Geo".....................

Theres no point even writing that verse, it needs to be heard to be believed. Two words, simply amazing. Flow, delivery, breath control, lyrics, everything, fantastic

I don't think he's underated at all, nearly everyone I know recognises his skills, even casual hip hop fans.

I'm the poetical poltergeist I heist tracks from the past
And return 'em to the present time in rhyme form
What was once dead is now resurrected on the record
And the physical words are mere residuals for my bidding
For my disposal to dispose of... who are you kidding
Nightfall, I stuff the rook, then I'm looking for
the original book which contains the words of God
Six hours until dawn, my quest to capture the queen
without being seen by the pawns
Call me Bishop, bishop takes rook, rook takes pawn
pawn takes knight, knight takes queen
Queen takes the original King James virgin (check)
I'm surgin up when I'm emergin
False clergymen you're urgin me to call you a virgin
    when to say the least
Who can you trust when a priest is now the beast?
    (who? what? why? and when?)
    I'm the assassinator of rap
Hit rip rhyme rap ritual hit you with my best shot
Get you sit you down, let you know I never get dropped
    When I flip-flop hip-hop, when I wreck shop (nigga)
I move, with the finesse and the smoothness
Even inside of the grooves of a record, check it
Check it again, check it again, check it again
Check the metaphors, make sure they're making sense and then
    Gimme one-hundred percent credit
Let it, medi-tate, in your brain, like a seda-tive
I said it and I bet it dwelve in your bloodstream.... let it live
The verses of curses that burst in the face of the first time offenders
In the realm of the extinction agenda

Word up, Durag. I still feel Pharoahe these days, but I agree he was on another level when he was in O.K. I decided to post Bring it On for those that have still yet to check for Organized, or those that just wanna hear a classic track that was ahead of its time.

Hell yeah he's underrated. He's one of my favorite MC's and I have yet to meet a casual hip-hop listener who knows who OK or Pharoahe Monch is. I don't think I've ever been disappointed by him yet lyrically. I do agree that he was better in his OK days. His solo work is still worth checking out though.

Casual Hip Hop fans I know don't even know about his existence, anyway I think that everyone who listens hip hop deeper knows about Monch's skills. More underrated rapper is The Last Emperor i think.

In America, Monch is mad slept on. It's a shame because he's always been one of the dopest. Sure when he had tracks like "Get The Fuck Up" or whatever, people RECOGNIZED.. but 75% of normal rap fans don't know half of this dude's lyrical prowless on other tracks.

If you don't realize that Monch has one of the best deliveries in Hip-Hop's entire History.. you a fuck up. Plus add his lyrics? This nigga's ten times above average.

he's elite never put him in above average I've never been disappointed by his lyrical ability his flow on songs like "Mayor" to "Simon Says" to his collabo with Mos Def & Nate Dogg on "Oh No" to his newer stuff and "Agent Orange" (the itunes bonus track" even on "Book of Judges" his lyrics got from poetic to super lyrical his flow is so advance and delivery his so sick that he could be the only rapper to keep up lyrically with Canibus, Priest & Ras Kass.
