Hey BIG BEN, long time no read. How have the sands of time been falling for you lately?

So I see this is poetry, but honestly whats the difference between poetry,lyrics,rhymes and raps? To me there all the same just delivered in different audible styles. I bet you could rap any Bob Dylan song or sing any Wu-tang song to country music.


Anyway heres my first submission to the collective:

Mass corruption in the USA
and the fault lies with you I say
not just the gov, mafia or CIA
it 's like a skipping cd on autoplay
up to us to decide who will stay and who wiil quit
first comes the republican president
who turns our whole fuckin system to shit
Next comes the Democrat president
who has to raise the tax a bit
just to fight the outrageous deficit
so the voters decide they aren't diggiin it
so the process starts all over again
First Carter fixes Nixon then comes Reagan
Old Bush gives it a final push so then comes Clinton
We're caught in a Bush again whats next another Clinton?

PeacEcaeP ManicLion been a while yes indeed the sands of time have fallen I sleigh and ski lifes quest can have some swallowed by the sea deep in the depths shadowed from the half moon crest the dark abyss can stretch to a mans heart and a childs nest most submerse and emerge to take shallow breaths... but enough of that build on what we value best of course this governments only part of the mess while we continue the cycles so the beast will digest our young in the cipher of drugs and street profits while the parents smoke coke the system conquests our children left alone to fend for themselves as public education is going all to hell dumbing down the standards so the poor never prevail leave behind bloodstains similar to snail trails hermit crab characters living in fragile shells

Ah it's good to be back, just wish all that stuff we put down way back when were still here.

Caught in a demons eye with a spinning iris, tumbling through the branches of hues reaching grabbing for anything to hold onto I'm being beaten harshly but I don't really feel a thing my whole body is numb. I thrust my hand up and grab the edge of the pupil I pull myself in and feel the vacuum of sight tugging at my back, I crouch to make myself more aerodynamic so I don't get sucked through into the darkness. The demon must be running through a jungle but his cornea distorts everything to me, where is this odd place it's so familiar. Memories I once knew are whizzing by at tremendous velocities where are we, way too familiar. Is this my house, no that tree never lived in my house that lived in the front yard of a home from 10 years back, is that where we're at? Can't be I didn't meet that girl who just zoomed by until 6 years ago and I certainly don't live on that beach. He must be running through the jungle of my mind. Ah, it all makes sense now go to sleep there's no need for concern, stand up now and be sucked into the darkness of sleep you need your rest. We can play demon run through your head anytime lets relax.

They were all activities that each took part in, how wanted to be honest, now try and express their surroundings, the others are just following the one in lead, their work was not yet complete, for had to make all during the time given, soon it will after a long period of years, and was nothing done, just to fall back to the old ways, thats what seemed the best, nothing that can help, nor was there care to give health of, as the least though where surviving, days that came had passed by, all thats new set before, so quickly to move back into state, continued with no other to be changed but the same".

inner depth, now able to exalt

now free from his former self

he’s finally obtained true wealth

a sense of oneness/being whole, a pleasure he has never before felt

he accepts the hand he’s been dealt

because he believes in the power of choice

no longer afraid to lift his voice, he now has reason to rejoice

viewing the world with new eyes is his first step towards ecstacy

and becoming a "true" master of his own destiny
