surprised no one has reviewed this yet.
my review:
I was very surprised when i first heard the album. I expected a tired Rock rather than the Rock from the early Heltah Skeltah days but it was totally the opposite. Rock's flow was just as strong as it was on MF and Nocturnal. Rock is still as dope as he was during the early BCC years which i was totally surprised to see. The most shocking thing about this release is that its very personal at times. In a number of tracks Rock focuses on his attempted murder trial and on his early life when he was trying to figure out who he was... something not too common in hip hoip music. Most of the beats on this release are reused. The thing that i love most about this album is that Rock took some of the hardest G-Unit beats (which are constantly wasted due to the lack of talent at the G-Unit camp) and made them into Rock tracks. So if you're like me and cant stand it when you hear a dope beat with a wack rapper over it then this album is everything you've been looking for. The only thing i would have rather not had on this album is 90 percent of the guest apperances. For the most part they're just plain weak and its a big thing the album could do without.
"while ya'll out there shakin' ya money makers... i'm wavin' my money taker.. translation: hammer or banga"
