Default what did you think of Raekwon on LDS?

Raekwon was just ok on this album...his flow/lyrics left me a bit cold. i think he's someone who really needs perfect/stellar production to come off nicely...you know? he's not really the type of guy to make a lackluster track great off the strength of his presence...at least not anymore. LDS was a decent album...but it could've been a lot better. i hope he takes it a tier higher on Cuban Linx II...

Man This Subject Has Covered A Million Times On This Site But That Cd Was Crap. Ice Water Is Crap And Raekwon W/out Rza Production Is Crap. Just Doesn't Have Any Feeling Behind It At All. Def Doesn't Rekindle That Ol School Style That Used To Have Me Slammin The Cold Ones Down. Lds Was Shit And Everybody Knows It. I'm Sorry To Say Because I Bought It Expecting Something Decent From The Chef But I Felt As Though I Missed The Main Course And Was Left Eating Up Some Ignorant Ass Leftover Ice Water Bullshit With No Heart.

yeah...tracks like all over again, the hood, king of kings, and that last track with tekitha featured tracks with good Raekwon performances, not to mention Clientele Kids. still, on other tracks he was just Ok. he's far from falling off like mobb deep, but i hope he doesnt head in their direction, because, in a vague way, he's similar to them in style....

    this what i think

Only Buily 4 Cuban linx- 10/10
    Immobalarity- 9/10
    Lex diamond story- 8.5/10

Raekwon has never dropped a wack album
Only a few years ago Hip Hop purists may have felt superior listening to hard core while their less enlightened companions snacked on commercial rap. As Shaolin research began to point out the overwhelming benefits of raw production, true hip hop enthusiasts started turning back to traditional styles. Wu-Tang in particular, has been shown to myriad beneficial effects, from warding off ignorance and poverty to reducing the risk of incarceration and death.

i'm not going to say its wack, because like i said it had its moments...but even the wu cuts were uninspiring. there was some good stuff, but in the end it wasnt enough...overall id give it 6/10.

i don't know why they try so hard to "do their own thing", when it clearly doesn't sell barely ever...u-god is the next up in this field...masta killa will kill him on his next album sales...everyone of them will...gotta have Wu all over the album if wutang is what you are...otherwise no one cares about your stupid switch to different styles...

one of the worst wu albums imo, everything from the lyrics and the production just seem lazy, i remember everyone was giving it mad props on this site when it first came out,I can only judge for myself, honestly I think Raekwon may be my least favorite Wu member, not sayin he's wack I just don't feel him, imo ghostface made OB4CL a classic, funny though because when i first heard 36 chambers i thought he was one of the leaders of the group because he had the strongest presence which he usually does on group albums
